Small amp Small Price, Big Sound, Great Tone
I have been using the Behringer ACX450 for six months now. I was impressed early, and still am very satisfied with the performance. It is a straight forward 2 channel acoustic amp with some modest effects. One would have to be filling a large venue to need more than this quality amp can provide. I'm running preamps from Gibson J45 and a Taylor 114 ce and they both sound amazing and I don't even know what to do with the rest of the gain. The music from these instruments is clear, bright, deep and the sound is a great reproduction of the instruments themselves. Behringer's mission statement is to provide quality amplification to musicians at a reasonable price. I say, "mission accomplished". Amazon was seamless to work with and with free fast shipping the whole experience has been great. Man, how did we get by before things were so cool and easy. Push a couple of buttons and magic appears at your doorstep.

Behringer ACX450 Ultracoustic 45-Watt Amp
I Love this AMP! I have a Larger Behringer amplifier, but wanted a smaller one for jamming and taking places when playing music with my friends. The amp weighs about 40 pounds or so, I am an older music lover, but have no problem carrying it to gigs. This amp has great quality for the price. It has many adjustments for the Reverb mode which I like when I plug in my Mic. It also has the reverb selections, for the guitar mode as well. I have a "guitar pick up" which I insert into my Martin 12-string or my Martin 6-string.. accoustic guitars, and the quality of this is amazing. I checked other websites for this Behringer amp, and found Amazon was the best price for this particular accoustic amp,.. plus they gave me free shipping to Hawaii!! The amp came in less than a week after I ordered it.For the price of this amp, you get the quality of sound, which is unreal. I am very stoked with this amp, and cannot say enough about it. The main thing is you get the quality of sound, for singing, and playing for the price you pay for this amp. I can sing, and hold a tune , but with the reverb mode, it makes me sound a bit better !

Great amp but heavy
I love this amp. It makes my cheap guitar sound wonderful; I get compliments on the sound all the time due to the shaping allowed by the equalizers and onboard effects (I do agree that the effects are limited but they're enough for me). The effects and equalizers do good things for my voice too. Although I have a very nice Taylor, my cheap guitar is my go-to gigging instrument when I play with my trio because it sounds great through this amp - as good as my band mates' $1K+ guitars played thru their $500+ non-acoustic amps - and I don't have to worry about someone knocking it over when I'm on a break and not looking. But since I've been gigging regularly, I've been forced to notice: OMG is this amp HEAVY!!! I bought a hand truck for it, but it doesn't work in all venues due to stairs, narrow passages and the like. Carrying this thing even 30 feet is very hard on my lady-hands, which is not what you want prior to playing a 2-hour gig. (If you are a beefy guy it might be OK for you.) Don't let the weight spec fool you; I regularly lift and carry 50-lb. bags of animal feed, but when all that weight is concentrated in just your hand and fingers, it feels like a lot more. I play lead and fingerstyle guitar and strained fingers do me no good. If you're just going to be playing around your house or somewhere you can leave your setup in place, I think this amp is a wonderful choice if you're on a budget the way I am. If you're going to be gigging in different venues several times a month or frequently taking your amp to friends' houses to play, you may want to look at lighter amps. That's what I'm doing now, unfortunately.

Wish it was as good as reviews?
I purchased one of these and when it arrived i plugged in my martin and began to play. At first i was kinda impressed, it sounded very real to my guitar but it was also turned down low because it was late at night. The next day i wasn't so pleased.Turned it up and it sounds like your in a hall echoing, i was on chorus mode with effect turned down.I tried to adjust the EQ but this thing is useless the sound is horrible like a tin drum sound whenever you turn it up.When i plugged in the microphone to sing, forget it.You cant even hear yourself until the gain is turned up to 7 and when turned up to nine you have to turn your guitar gain down so low to hear your voice that you no longer hear the guitar from the amp.Well i wanted to love this thing for the cost and reviews so i figured it was a defect.I returned it and received another one today and same issues.I am no where near a pro but i can tell what sounds good and what sounds bad and this sounds bad so from the reviews i can assume possible this is most peoples first amp and they dont have anything to compare it to yet. I just ordered a fishman mini,it is a hundred dollars more so ill update this after i get it to see the comparison.Personal i would not purchase this because for me my confidence as a amateur player went down when i plugged this in and it should go up and keep you motivated, this amp did not do that.Update:I just got my fishman amp and it was $100 more but holy sh@#! this thing sounds amazing,my advice to anyone is save your money until you can afford a better amp it will be worth it.

INCORRECT SIZE OF FRONT SPEAKER SCREEN
EVERYTHING ABOUT THE PURCHASE EXPERIENCE WAS FIVE STAR WITH ONE EXCEPTION .,,,,,,......THE FRONT SCREEN WITH THE BEHRINGER NAMEPLATE ON THIS UNIT IS ABOUT A QUARTER INCH TOO TALL. IT DOES NOT FIT INTO THE SLOT AROUND THE SPEAKER AND KEEPS FALLING OUT...THE VELCRO CANNOT TOUCH TO THE BACK IN THE TOP CORNERS. I HAVE JURY RIGGED A THIRD VELCRO IN THE MIDDLE BEHIND THE BEHRINGER NAME PLATE , BUT I NOW HAVE A NOTICEABLE RATTLE WHEN THE VOLUME IS HIGH.............I.HAVE ASKED BEHRINGER TO SEND ME A NEW FRONT COVER THAT IS CUT TO THE PROPER SIZE.......TJM

Excellent product. Very pleased with all my Behringer devices!
This amp meets my needs on many levels. I can play harmonica and guitar at the same time and control their output and quality separately. Loud enough for mid size audiences and has a retro feel to it with modern technology and control.

Great little amp
Great little amp. After experimenting I added a Piezo horn and it's an even better acoustic guitar and vocal sound IE deep and crispy, also made a nice protective plastic cover for it.
