Tube almost empty
My container also arrived almost empty and I have returned for a refund So disappointing - I love Minimalist products but this one seems to have a fault in packaging and too expensive to pay for an almost empty tube

Almost empty bottle upon arrival.
Also received an almost empty bottle and it's bright orange. I look like I'm impersonating Trump.

Colour too orange otherwise effective
The colour of this product is very orange. I used it once for face, but have switched to using it on my leg where I have hyperpigmentation. It's effective but the colour lets this product down. Back to 0.1% retinaldehyde from another brand. I hope the oil soluble 0.1% from this brand becomes available for purchase on amazon soon!

Really potent and high quality. Very good value for money as well as having a good amount to last awhile.

Do not buy this! There is a big tube - no product inside of it! The product amount is so minimal and it doesn't collect enough to pump out the little that is in there. I also saw no difference in my skin. This is a waste of money! I have been buying my products from The Ordinary, which is similar in cost to this company, but much MUCH better. I will be going back to them. I tried this company out for a comparison. There is no comparison.

I love this, it’s potent and affordable, similar to the ordinary 0.2 retinal emulsion, works equally well. It’s good to have affordable potent retinaldehydes on the market.

I have used the RetinOL products and this is the first time to try a RetinAL. This is strong and really does work. The RetinAL products are 11X's stronger and I believe it based on the use of this one. I do need to follow the instructions and use just one drop as I can feel it on the skin doing its work. The one very negative aspect and I do not know if this is unique to Minimalist is the color of the cream. It makes me look Jaundice (yellow/orange) and I worry about the color getting on the pillow. That is my only complaint, but it is a reason for me to look for another product. I have ordered another RetinAL product to see if it is strong but normal color. I do wish Amazon would allow or fix their search function to actually allow for a specific search. If looking for RetinAL they also give results for RetinOL: and they are completely different. Bottom-line is this is a very good product but a really bad color.

Review: Minimalist 0.2% Retinal Liposomal Cream Had to look up what liposomal means and its all god things. Apparently it's a man-made fat cell into which drugs or in this case Retinal is injected so that the product has a deeper penetration into the skin. I suppose that is all good because i'm starting to see this word used in a lot of beauty products. Anyways the product is quite "diluted" compared to my tretinoin. But seeing as I can't use tret every night, I supplement the off days with a retinol or retinal. I didn't experience any sensitivities or redness but those who are just starting, do so with caution and start off slow. The first few weeks can be rough and the skin has a tendency to breakout during a retinol purge.
