This is a great little light. I use it for portable shoots for my YouTube channel, for portrait head shots, and interviews. I suggest getting the modifier to soften the light. But this is a gem of a light. The only issue is with this model you get a handle instead the traditional up and down pointing mount. The battery seems like it last forever. I don't I have ever killed my SmallRig vmount battery while at location. Must have for a small set one person maybe two.

I was just at CES in Vegas, doing sitdown interviews as well as interviewing while we walked around on the floor. I brought this as my key light with soft box in addition to two other inflatables which are fantastic, but this one is very compact. I like that I can use a mount battery on it. Great output.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This tiny light is awesome, I find myself using this a lot due to how easy it is to carry around and set up. Only negative I have found is that the light mount this comes with is not very good. Things to note:1) The normal 100 watt battery Small Rig sells is barely enough to power this light as it can draw up to 130-140 watts. I suggest getting small rigs upgraded V mount battery that can provide 140 watts. 2) This has a custom tiny mount that is not a standard Bowens mount. If you want to use Bowens mount small rig does sell an adapter.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This light is so useful and portable. The light flow is even and beautiful. I have used it to make YouTube videos. I attached Bowen’s mount soft box for diffused light. Can’t say enough good things about this one!

The media could not be loaded. I was very happy with this product until it stopped working in the middle of a recording for a client, first apparently it was an overheating problem but when I wanted to use it again it no longer worked, it won't let me use it either with the cable or with the v mount battery, I'll try to get a replacement or refund since I don't know if I should trust againUPDATESmallrig customer service contacted me and even after requesting a refund and returning the damaged item, in a gesture of goodwill they sent me another replacement item even though I had already received my refundApparently this problem was an isolated problem and I will definitely continue to enjoy Smallrig's excellent products

I am in Hawaii and the batteries cannot be shipped to Hawaii. I am not impressed with the settings either but I do admire the size since it’s light and compact. I am returning because I cannot order the NP-F970 batteries.

impossible to buy a battery in a foreign country.....
