Durable and Effective at Preventing Wear on Rope
This review is for 2Pack Mini Stainless Steel Pulley D Ring Shackles,Removable U-Shaped Pulley (for 1/4 Inch Wire Rope) These are essentially a standard shackle with a pulley rotating on the removable pin. There are no bearings, but for most uses, none would be needed. The finish of the shackle and pulley are quite smooth, preventing damage to rope, even paracord when used with these shackles. The removable pin's threads were slightly rough, but nothing to worry about and the smooth out after a few assembly/disassembly cycles. They are made of lightly magnetic stainless steel, which should last a long time outside. I might consider putting a very small amount of lubricant between the pulley and the removable pin, as stainless steel has a tendency to gall when in contact with itself under heavy loads. Never-Seize or even moly lube would work fine. For light loads, this is less of a concern, but a little lube won't hurt unless these are being used in a dirty or dusty environment. They will take quite a bit of load and operate smoothly through a variety of angles. The gap between the pulley edges and the shackle body is about 0.040" and not likely to catch the rope or line, as long as you use something 1/8" diameter or larger, up to 1/4". We are using these to hoist antennas up into trees for temporary operation. The removable pins mean that we don't have to un-thread to line when tearing down the setup. Just coil the rope/line and take the pulleys off wherever they are in the setup. These shackles should work very well for setups where continuous movement of the rope/line is not needed and easy removal is helpful. Great price for a quality product.

Very Small
This is a set of two small, high quality stainless steel d rings with a removable small pulley on the bar. These are functional and good quality. Overall these are as described.

Very handy
I tend to have string of some form (often paracord) with me pretty much everywhere I go. The micro-pulleys are a great addition to my kit. They are a good combination of compact, simple, and sturdy. The pulley are just grooved wheels that slide over the shackle bolt. Everything spins freely enough that you shouldn't have any problems unless you're seriously overloading them. One of the problems that you encounter with paracord (and nylon cord in general) is that it generates a lot of friction and heat rubbing against nylon, so you can damage the cord if you're not a bit careful with your rigging. Shackles or carabiners alone greatly reduce the wear on your cord. Adding the pulleys here will save a lot of wear and tear on the paracord. I did notice that there are some minor rough spots on the shackles and bolts, that can make them a little hard to tighten or loosen, but these should work themselves out over time, or I'll hit them with a file to clean them up. But that's fairly common for mass-produced hardware, so not a deal breaker. Also be aware that these pulleys are designed for 1/4-inch rope, so if you're using something like paracord, or smaller cordage (like I am), you'll have to be a bit careful that it doesn't derail and get caught between the pulley and the shackle.

Good quality stainless steel shackle with rope pulley raceway
What you get with this item is two stainless steel shackles with a pulley raceway included that is held in place by the screw-in pin. This effectively transforms a shackle into a portable pulley. The pulley will accommodate 1/4" or smaller rope or wire rope. This item is very flexible in it's use since you can mount it anywhere you can get the shackle around something, or even suspend it from a rope tied to something else. I have used it to rig a six-foot aluminum step ladder so that I can store the ladder near the ceiling in my garage. I screwed some eye bolts through the drywall into the truss above and mounted the shackles on the eye bolts. Using some nylon rope I can hoist the ladder up and then secure the excess rope to a cleat I mounted on the adjacent wall. I have included a picture that shows the size of this item in relation to my hand. Use your imagination and I am sure you will find a good use for these shackles. I am going to order another pair just to have on hand in my workshop.
