Cracker Barrel Sharp Cheddar Macaroni & Cheese Single Bowl Dinner (6 ct Pack, 3.8 oz Trays)

Makes a decent sized portion, and I can eat a lot. Nice for quick lunch, but would likely use it as a side for dinner (love dinner time). After cooking, I scooped it all into a bowl then added the breadcrumbs. Made for a nice presentation.Tastes good to me. Easy to make. The breadcrumb topping really makes this stand out. Adds a perfect texture that now makes me want to add breadcrumbs to any mac n cheese I ever have.I made this EXACTLTY as described, and it couldnt have turned out any better. Add seasoning to noodles, fill with water to water line, do not use more or less. Fill exactly to waterline. Microwave X mount of time (I think it was 3 mins? its in the directions). Take out, there might be a little water. Thats fine, DO NOT DRAIN. Add in the cheese (like a velveeta packet). Stir. I let it sit for a minute. I decided to scoop it into a bowl for better presentation for myself. Then I sprinkled the crumbs on top. MMMMNot a strong flavor. I could go for an extra sharp bite, but this is mild. Pleasant. I ate half of it as is. Then I decided to sprinkle a little hot sauce on top of the last few bites.It's probably on par with velveeta mac n cheese, but a little less cloying and fake tasting. Breadcrumbs add a good texture. This has an easier flavor. It doesnt make me feel like I ate processed junk. Doesn't taste like homemade (zero expectation of that on my end, but people can be really weird with reviews & community questions). It is a shelf stable product, nice for quick meals. Convenience food.I'll buy it again (in fact I just added it to my subscribe & save order)

This is bold, rich, and scrumptious. Follow the directions and in 5-6 minutes you have Mac N' Cheese like Mom used to make, ooey gooey, rich, flavorful and a breadcrumb topping for a little crunch. The portion size is a bit too much for my household, we split it. If I have salad, I cant eat this whole thing. I reserve 1/2 the cooked part and 1/2 the crumb packet to add when I am going to eat it so its still fresh and has some crunch. My granddaughters add meat (bacon, steak or chicken strips) and hot sauce and its enough for the three of them to share for lunchtime meal. They are good eaters too, It's not just a dainty portion each I promise. All three play sports and practice daily, so good portion and good ingredients matter.

Well took some more doing than anticipated, but finally after adding a little real cheese, and some frozen veggies, this dish was palatable, but really not worth the price (about $2.50 a bowl before possible discounting with CC points) compared with other cheaper better IMO tasting brands which will remain nameless. But really, the direction to NOT drain the excess water after cooking is ridiculous; if I hadn't drained some of the water in the first place, and then some more after mixing in the cheese sauce this dish would have been a watery mess. (And yes I know the noodles are supposed to absorb some of the water so to get plumper, but this was after I waited a few minutes, which I knew from past experience, for that to happen). Well anyway, the dish is edible but not exactly recommended for the current price, but I still gave this product four stars for at least is something to get if/ when one can't go to the store during difficult times, cheers!

i had covid last month and i couldn't go to the store for food, so getting something on amazon was my next idea. i got this because it was quick and easy, despite my hatred for cracker barrel. it tasted pretty good without the crumb topping but the best part was that after about two hours having one bowl of it, my smell was coming back. i have no idea what they put in this stuff, but whatever it was made my smell come back. before i ate it my smell was completely gone and had no signs of coming back. 9/10 ( crumb topping wasn't that good, but i think macaroni and cheese shouldn't be crunchy so maybe that's just my opinion)

I ordered this because I've heard a lot about Cracker Barrel but there are no restaurants where I live. It's boxed mac and cheese and tastes accordingly. It is not strongly flavored but it wasn't bad. To me the photo is accurate as far as both size and finished product. I paid $17.94 for the 6-pack (2.99 each) and don't feel ripped off. That said, I would only repurchase if this went down to about $2/each. This falls into the top ramen category for me.

I'm a big fan of Cracker Barrel cheeses, so I had to try their Mac and Cheese dish. It's a little expensive for 6 single servings, but it's really easy to prepare and the flavor is very good. I add some tuna or chicken to make it more of a meal, and I could probably also add some frozen peas. It's nice, warm comfort food on a chilly night.

First and most importantly, the pasta cooks completely! Others are often pellet like after cooking. The sauce is tasty, although a little bit salty for my taste. A little expensive compared to other quick cook pasta but well worth it. Have already bought more through Amazon Pantry.
