I’m obsessed with this brand! I first got the Thai Basil Garlic paste, and have since reordered multiple times (good in literally everything, including scrambled eggs). I now also have a jar of the Tom Yum paste (for Tom Yum, yes, but also great added to ramen broth), and the yellow curry paste. As part of my last order, I added their Thai Chili Garlic Crispy Onions, mostly on a whim. I love adding crispy onions to salads, and the flavor profile was right up my alley. These are easily the best crispy onions I’ve added to salads! The pieces are smaller than most crispy onions but a little goes a long way. The flavor is very good - robust enough to stand up to other strong salad flavors (e.g. blue cheese crumbles), and they stayed crispy from the first bite to the last, even with a thick, creamy dressing. If you’re curious about this brand, don’t sleep on them! You’ll be happy with whatever you order. I’d love for them to expand their offerings, and will keep ordering what they have until then.

This was my first time trying these. They were "OK" but didn't have that much flavor. I don't think I would buy them again especially for the price.

I've sprinkled this on my fried rice, stir-fried vegetables, and other dishes. It's crispy, with just the right amount of spice. At first, I felt that the crisps overwhelmed the tastes of the dishes, but I find myself using them more and more because it enhances any food I'm eating so much I've been using the mala-flavored crisps with fried rice and other noodles. The chili lime tastes good with tacos, tamales, and other South American-based flavors, and the umami blends well into most dishes, including stir-fried vegetables as well as meat and fish dishes. I used to buy shallots fried in palm oil for the same purpose...glad there is a healthier option that does not use rancid palm oil that also destroys forests. I hope they come up with an option with no flavoring so that we could better taste the onions.

I’m kind of a wimp when it comes to spice and heat but I’m always looking for something to throw on top of salads or things like omelettes for a little extra kick. I saw these flavored fried onions and thought I would give them a try. I do really like this chili lime flavor. It tastes great sprinkled over a mixed green salad, and although it’s a little too hot for me on its own, it’s delicious with a bite of food. This is extremely tasty and goes with just about everything that you could think of that’s savory. When I first saw the package, I was concerned that it didn’t seem like a lot of product for the price but this adds big flavor and it doesn’t take much. (It’s also more like onion “crumbles“ than pieces but it goes further that way.) The bag contains 10 one-tablespoon servings (about 2/3rds cup in total) but honestly, I don’t usually use that much each time so it’s lasting me for a little while. And although it has a few ingredients, like soy, that I tend to avoid, it’s such a small amount that I don’t worry about it. It doesn’t have anything “scary” in it, including gluten or preservatives, and the package says it should be used within 30 days. The price appears to be in keeping with similar products on Amazon. I see that there are a couple other flavors available but I think I’ll stay away from the Szechuan! This chili lime is spicy enough for me. ;)

No lime flavor unless it’s at the bottom of the bag! It has the worst taste. It’s like it’s stale or something. I will not be purchasing this again.

At first I thought I'd used these strictly for topping my green bowls, but ti my surprise, I found myself snacking on these like my favorite chips or nuts! Needless to say, I doubled my second order. I highly recommend at least trying them.😋😋😋

So delicious I snack on it out of the bag! I did repurchase. Perfect to sprinkle onto homemade poke bowls. This would also be perfect to use in fresh Vietnamese spring rolls.

Read the amount before purchasing. Only 2.5 0z
