I’ve been running for about 40 years, including a few sub-3:00 marathons. In that time, I’ve tried just about every insole/insert or “orthotic-style” option out there—Sorbothane, Superfeet, Spenco, and others. These PowerStep Bridge insoles are the best I’ve ever worn, bar none. What makes them different is that they combine the best traits of the popular brands, while fixing the stuff that usually drives me crazy. You get real structure and alignment from the supportive frame and heel cup—but unlike the rigid, plank-like inserts (that can feel like you’re standing on a hard card), theseflex naturally with your foot. That matters, because overly stiff inserts can change your gait in a bad way and leave the lower knee/leg paying the price. With these, the support is there, but the ride feels smoother and more forgiving. The foam setup is also excellent: a responsive “energize” layer for impact and rebound, plus a softer memory-foam layer for comfort. On top of that, the cover is moisture-wicking, so they feel less swampy on longer runs or warmer days. The “adaptable shape” claim actually feels real in use—the arch support doesn’t just prop you up; it feels like it guides your foot into a better position without forcing it. Add the stabilizing heel cup and the whole system changes the dynamics of impact and stability in a very noticeable way. For me, these have been a genuine upgrade and could easily be life-changing if you’ve struggled to find the balance between support and comfort—especially if rigid inserts have aggravated your knees or made your stride feel unnatural.

I'm in my 70's and have high arches. No matter what style of shoe I buy none of them are comfortable for to long if I don't have some extra support in them. I have been using Copper Fit inserts for years and although they provide support they are hard, don't flex at all, and all that comfortable. I saw the ad for these PowerStep Bridges Arch Supports and odered a pair. What made me purchase these over all the others that were listed on Amazon was the price and how they described. Just got them this afternoon and glad I did. I tried them in two sets of Crogs and two set of dress shoes I have, and walked in and around the house to test them. They felt great in all my footwear. I felt like they made me walk more upright. As I walked in them, I fely less hunched over and was able to walk with my shoulders back, like I once did.. These PowerStep Bridge supports fit and felt so good I just ordered me three more pair. My old CopperFit supports are going in thr trash now that I have arch supports that provide more comfort and more pain relief. I'm 100 % satisfied and you will be to. The price is great also.

These have provided great comfort for my husband and daughter. The fit is perfect. They both have different foot ailments, and it provides relief for both. Great arch support. One small complaint is that they squeak when they walk. They relief trumps the noise for now.

I ordered one pair of these and liked them so much, I ordered a second pair. They provide good support, and my feet don't hurt like they did before. So far, no problems with squeaking like others have mentioned, but I've only had them for about 2 weeks.

UPDATE: I swapped the Bridge orthotic into a different pair of running shoes (Brooks Adrenaline 22) that I wear when I’m outside in the yard hitting golf balls. No squeaking is heard when walking in the older pair of shoes. It must have just been the interaction of the Bridge orthotics and the newer shoes (Brooks Adrenaline 24) that I experienced the squeaking sound with every step. I only wear the older shoes 2-3 hours at a time 3-4 days a week, so it may takes some time before the longevity of the Bridge orthotics are really tested. The orthotics are comfortable; I can’t even tell that they are in place in the shoes. I've used PowerStep orthotics for over 20 years after having a heel bone reconstruction. I've always found them comfortable and supportive. I saw a video review of these new bridge orthotics and thought that I'd give them a try. While they are comfortable they are just too darn noisy to wear. They have a small rigid plastic support at the heel that fits onto molded channels in the styrofoam base that does not seem like they would last very long (at least not the lifetime of a shoe). The squishy/squeaky sound that emanates from them with every step is just too noisy to tolerate.

Initially, these insoles were a welcome addition to my shoes, providing the comfort and support I was looking for. However, my satisfaction was short-lived. After just a few months of normal wear, a persistent and increasingly loud squeak developed with every step. The noise became so distracting and embarrassing that the insoles were rendered completely unwearable. This is a significant flaw that points to either a fundamental issue in their design or a serious lapse in quality assurance during manufacturing. Ultimately, I had no choice but to throw them away and purchase a replacement pair from a different brand. I wish I could recommend this product, but cannot due to this frustrating and disruptive issue that appeared after a few months.

I have tried many different orthotics in treating plantar fasciitis. The power step bridge has been the best as the arch support is firm and the heel is cushioned enough for the sore heel with plantar fasciitis. It doesn’t cure it but it makes walking easier in combination with good shoes.
