I had this for a few months before I installed it. This was used to replace a Polaris booster pump and is being used to supply a pool fountain. We quit using the Polaris years ago. My grandchildren enjoy this fountain and this 1/2 hp pump is the perfect size for that. It was easy to install. I had to buy a few PVC adapters to plumb it down to the 3/4" (hoses) existing plumbing.

Took 1 1/2 hours to install. Used my old fitting as the one sent do not fit...The pump is quiet and does the job.. the retail on the suggested replacement for mine as the original was discontinued was $750.00 this is great.

This works really well and is quieter than I expected it to be. Powerful suction and output resulting in a little over 4200 gal/hr. My biggest gripe is that the fittings are not US standard, resulting in having to custom configure this to work w/ what we can find at the hardware store. Like what others have mentioned, I used a rubber coupling to make the connection work with my 1.5 inch hoses. BUT I couldn't find any rubber coupling large enough to fit their claim of 2 inch pipe. The inner wall of that pipe is about 1.97 inches and the outer wall is about 2.12. I was fortunate enough to find an actual 2 inch pipe at Home Depot and was able to shove and pipe glue it into their included pipe. Not sure how that math works, but you can see Home Depot's measurement of 2 inches isn't really 2 inches either. SMH Once glued into place, I was able to use a 2 inch rubber coupling and everything worked well from there. You can either do this or order that part another customer mentioned in their review. Great pump and very quiet. 1) One thing to remember is that it is not self priming so the pump needs to be placed lower than the water (e.g hot tub or above ground pool). I am using for a pool water feature (waterfall) and am using a check valve that insures that water is stored in the pump for startup. 2) It does not have standard fittings. The 2" fittings are not actually standard 2" and will not fit standard 2" PVC couplings. The specs say that they are 5cm/2.0". 5cm is actually 1.9685" and I don't think they are quite that large. Consequently, I used rubber coupling with stainless steel clamps. An acceptable compromise considering the price and apparent quality of the pump.

Pump looks great and fits in space of my hot tub perfect but it only runs for 2 minutes then cut off on thermo overload. So I pulled pump and tried to spin rotor by hand and there is lots of resistance with load.

This product is great. But the fittings are odd size but will fit 1.5 pipes Maybe you are going to use this pump for a hot tub? It is recommended that you buy 2 more fittings the same size that way. You'll be easy to transition from the pump to the heater other than that works great.

Pump is loud audibly, much more than the original. Air locks when filter needs even a slight cleaning. That means is probably has a high rate of flow, but is not adjustable.

UPDATE,,, Came quick, works great.. UPDATE,,, worked great for a month, cycles off and then would not restart, had to move impeller to get it restart, was not stuck or plugged, fails to restart couple times a week.. No response from seller,,,, not so "5 stars" any more...

It is hard to get perfect conduit fitting And finally I use electric conduit for its conduit works after I try different size plumbing conduit.

This pump is super silent! Almost everything is great … but I was surprised that it almost sucks 100 W more than it should … very strange things are happening here on Amazon.

Works great in the winter when it runs constantly but failed completely in the summer when it needed to turn on/off more often to stay at temperature. Other pumps have better protection against this but are about $100 more
