Q: Can this product be used to seal chalk paint on a bathroom wall?

Yes. Test first as the sealer may darken the chalk paint slightly.

Q: How long does it take to dry?

Aleene's Spray Sealer Matte is dry to the touch within 10 minutes. However, it is recommended to wait a little longer before handling. At 1 hour, spray can be handled but as long as there is still a chemical/solvent odor, that indicates that the complete drying process is still occurring. The odor should dissipate gradually within a few days (3 to 7). When the residual chemical odor is gone, that is when the sprays are fully dried. Please note that in colder climates/seasons, the sprays will take longer to dry.

Q: Will this stay tacky when sprayed onto marine vinyl?

No. It will dry completely. Give it 24 hours after spraying in ventilated area.

Q: Is this considered water base?

Aleene’s Spray Sealers are not water based. They are solvent based.
