I bought the 'in oil' variety. This stuff is pretty good. The texture is very close to tuna. Nothing is going to copy the fishy aftertaste or smell of the real thing but seasonings of your choice will definitely give the tuna experience. It isn't in chunks like canned tuna so it looks more like the mashed ends of a filet rather than a whole piece of tuna. As far as specialty meat substitutes go, it's not ribeye expensive but it's not an everyday meal item, either. I use it for salads or sandwiches to fill my protein quota.

Not bad for a tuna substitute. Probably will not purchase again due to the price. There neede to be double the amount in each bag for me to consider this worth the cost.

Excellent meat substitute

I ordered this along with other items. Amazon packed everything into one box and as a result, the heavy items I ordered smashed these wet bags of “tuna.” But guess what? This “tuna” is non-refundable, so I couldn’t get money back for damaged items (I called customer service to explain the issue and they said they’d credit my card but never did). So, if you must order this, order it alone, without anything else and pray it arrives safely. The product packages that survived Amazon’s poor packing job was fine - good texture, fine flavor. I made a “tuna” salad with it, so it’s a good vehicle for mayo, pickles, etc. But I won’t order it off Amazon again due to all the problems.

This tastes amazing. Speaking from a vegan perspective… it scratches the itch of having things like tuna salad or sandwiches with tuna in it. It’s an amazing substitute

Since I’m seafood intolerant but missed tuna salad sandwiches and casserole, decided to give this a try. Texture is fine but definitely doesn’t taste like tuna. You can add your favorite ingredients to it to approximate a tuna salad or casserole. So it’s not really tuna but if it was I’d be sick. Close……but not quite there.

If I only knew that it was going to taste like this, then I would have ordered more, and I just did! This was such a great treat coming from someone that no longer wishes to harm fish.
