Supremo Italiano S Giardiniera, 1 gal

The amount of vegetables is phenomenal. The taste is spicy, but not bad. I mix with salad and Italian Dressing and it is superb!!! We don't care for the pepperoncini - hard and not as flavorful as the ones we get. However, it's not a problem to get 'em out and put ours in. I will buy this again and recommend this to anyone wo loves Gardeneria.

This item was so Salty I could not eat it. I mean EXTREMELY salty. Very disappointing! Almost burned my mouth. I think this was possibly a bad batch . I can't believe they purposely make it this way!

I like this enough to subscribe to the gallon size.

Not as good as the brand that come in the smaller bottles. Had to rinse to remove the excessive salt to make edible. Will try other brands going forward.

Package arrived intact, product in good shape. Vegetables seem good quality and are crispy. However, major problem for me: the vegetables are absurdly salty. Even rinsing them prior to use was insufficient to make them edible. They are very large cut and crispy, I think the quality of the production is good. If they were in tiny pieces that would wind up in a martini glass or something? I'm not sure how I can use any of it. Perhaps one or two pieces on a large salad along with chunks of blue cheese? I will cut them up fine and try to sneak them into things. As little tiny bursts of SUPER SALTY, they are kinda good. So this might be a five star rating if that's what someone wanted in Giardiniera. I prefer more vinegar with flavor and less salt. Perhaps it's designed to survive an apocalypse, break open, and left on the concrete floor for ten years. I'll stick a piece on a plate in my basement and see if the mice will eat it or if it rots. I doubt either will happen.

Although I purchased Giardiniera, a majority of my gallon was mainly carrots. The vegetable mix was very limited. It was also very salty. I should have just sucked on the salt shaker if I needed a salt fix. This product doesn't even deserve 1 star. I'm sad to have wasted my money on this. I do not recommend and I will not purchase again. On a side note-although it wasn't expired, the seal was questionable.

Several reviews indicate damage in shipping. I can see how this could occur as the plastic Jar is not protected very well inside the shipping box. Mine arrived in perfect condition, though, and if it hadn't I'm sure a replacement would have been sent. So why complain??? I was very pleased with the taste and texture of the vegetables. Abundant crisp carrots, celery, sweet peppers, and cauliflower are mixed fairly evenly proportioned. Despite several reviews claiming this product is spicy, I would rate this a 1/10 for heat. There's just no peppery heat there. Look at the ingredients! I will definitely purchase again.

I have ordered this product five times before from Amazon and have been very satisfied with the product. I don’t know if it was this batch, but it was extremely salty to the point that tried to rinse it off with water before I eat it and it was still salty. it was so salty that the inside cover of the cap foil removed from it in places. Also, with the selection of vegetables, the largest majority was carrots not a lot of peppers. The cauliflower was very limp not crisp, limited amount of celery, I was very disappointed in the product.
