Bought this not knowing what to expect, it's soft chewy and tasty, nothing more to add, I think its good value for 1kg bag

Amazing! You can't beat the real stuff. The bag didn't last long. A little pricy but I'm not aware of import costs for the seller so I can only assume they are high. Still worth the occasional treat though. You have to know and understand Dutch licorice. Don't buy and expect British licorice and then leave a bad review because it didn't taste like Bassett's. You're buying traditional Dutch Licorice, it's not like British licorice so don't base your review on a comparison. Only compare to other Dutch licorice. Otherwise its like comparing chocolate to a steak. 2 totally different things!

Very nice taste, lovely and soft. Not great value though. Bought a few times as I like taste.

Just as I remember from my younger days, with a Dutch grandma we were treated to these liquorice sweets whenever a Dutch relative visited!
