Trying to limit my intake of micro plastics, and found these function as well as my childhood ice cube trays. We had to let them set out for a moment too, then easy to lift the lever.

This works well for me. From reading the reviews, I think some people don’t know how these work. You pull them from the freezer and let them sit a few minutes or you rinse the ice tray with tap water then pull the lever. My ice tray works like a charm!

The handle could be a little thicker. Ensure you break the ice within 24 hours of making the batch because it gets too frozen otherwise and the breaker handle bends metal instead of breaks ice. Otherwise I really like this for making my own ice from filtered water and because I do not have an ice maker. Easy to throw in the dishwasher or hand rinse. No mold issues. Holds many ice cubes.

Love it!! I was initially intimidated by a metal ice cube tray. However, I'm trying to reduce plastic so I finally gave it a try. It's fantastic. After filling it, place the metal divider on the tray with the handle down. Once frozen, remove and allow it to thaw for about 3-5 minutes. Then pull back the handle. That's it. It's a little pricey but you won't be eating plastic nor do the cubes taste funny like with plastic or silicone ones.

Have been looking for these but they were always aluminum.( Which leads to Alzheimer's) Finally a brand made them in stainless steel. This was a much wanted present. As soon as he opened they gift. He went running to the kitchen washed them and filled them. They whole Family were laughing. They are easy to open no stuck cubes and they freeze faster then plastic. A must have Great quality!

If you don't mind spending 20 minutes to free up 3 ice cubes from this tray, then this is a fine purchase. I personally found this quite annoying and frustrating. I grew up with this type of ice cube tray, but I don't recall having so much trouble using them in the past. There is absolutely no way you can get ice cubes out of this tray direct from the freezer. You have to leave it sit on the counter to thaw slightly before you can even try to remove an ice cube. And even then, it is not guaranteed that you will get any cubes before you have spent 20 minutes "wrangling" them out of the tray. It is basically a manual procedure. Very sorry I purchased this ice cube tray. It will be residing in my recycle bin very soon.

These are ok but they don't let the cubes pop out, you have to poke them out in the middle row. They are ok at best but not worth what I paid for them. expensive for what I received.
