Earlier days but find it amazingly dexterous, lightweight, easy to pick all sizes of object. The handle to squeeze isn't stiff it's very easy to use. Love that it also has a magnet. If its robust and lasts, then it's an absolute bargain and fanatic tool.

Great bit of kit! I bought it before having abdominal surgery, for use during the recovery when I would be fairly immobile. It was used frequently and daily and was a real help - everything from putting laundry into the machine or picking up shoes to retrieving miscellaneous items dropped on the floor. It is robustly constructed. The handle is comfortable. The grabber claw and grippy bit are effective and it was easy to pick up anything (down to items as small as a coin). The grippy bit is slightly squidgy and is easy to wash with a bit of soap. Even though I don’t need to use this anymore, it’s so convenient that the whole household still uses it to close the curtains in a spot obscured by furniture!

Much better than the much cheaper one I looked at In Lidl which was half the price. This one is much better made, longer and with more features. One minor problem with this picker which folds into three sections - the Chinese worker who assembled it put the joint fittings on upside down and it is not possible to correct it !!

Really handy after having surgery and not being able to bend. Easy to use, the fact that the grabber folds down makes it easy to keep to hand. The grip for heavier and bigger items is ok but works better for smaller items (tv remote/hair brush).

Just what i needed out the garden . Brilliant grip and very sturdy . Quality item if you struggle to bend with a long reach arm . Delivery was spot on

After a major operation last year, crouching and bending is now extremely difficult. These things have been an absolute godsend. Easy assembly with a couple of clicks, robust, easy to use. I wouldn't trust them to lift heavy objects, but that's not what they're designed for. The magnet on the jaws is also handy - for the price these are unbeatable and have made my life a lot easier.

I’m 160 cm tall and I don’t like step stools. Here are some things I’ve used this for: - Getting things down from high shelves (duh) - Picking up things from the bottom of the laundry basket (it’s deeper than my arms are long) - Adjusting the angle of ceiling spotlights - Holding up the other end of the curtain rod as we were mounting it - Picking up a drill bit from behind a cabinet (because it has magnets!) - Reaching someone something when I couldn’t get close enough to hand it directly to them - Picking things up from the floor when my back hurt - Getting my dog’s ball out from under various pieces of furniture If you also want to do these things without climbing ladders/diving into laundry baskets/crawling under couches, I strongly recommend this product.

I purchased this for 2 reasons. The first reason is that I’m short and my 6’2” boyfriend isn’t always around. The second reason is because I like to dumpster dive. Contrary to popular belief, dumpster diving isn’t about jumping into dumpsters. A lot of times it’s about standing on a step stool and using a stick or grabber to lift things up to look under and move things around. I’ve found everything from brand new items packaged to pet furniture and even retro consoles. However, as I mentioned, I’m short so I also have short reach. This grabber has been great. I love the magnetic end because if you drop your keys or need to get something metal it’s strong and will attract them and hold them so you can lift them up. I have a weak grip and find it easy to squeeze and manipulate this. I like that you can adjust the angle of the grabber from vertical to horizontal. The only issue I have is that I wish it were a tad bit longer, but that would also make it more difficult to lift things up due to the pressure it would put on the middle section. Overall I recommend it. Folds up nicely and saves space.
