The Rough Guide to Turkey (Travel Guide) (Rough Guides)

Although the Lonely Planet guide had a more recent edition as one of the reviewers pointed out it failed to cover the eastern part of Turkey which is where I was going. It is excellent in its coverage and a newer edition will make it by far and away the best guide to Turkey.

Very thick book so hugely informative. A bit out dated in some parts though. Some of the newer resorts are not even mentioned

As expected... it's a Rough Guide after all!

Much much better than lonely planet. We first lived in Istanbul 51 years ago and now return for two or more months annually. The Rough Guide as helped us find places like Mren, the seventh-century. Armenian cathedral this is even most of the detailed maps of Turkey.
