Easy to Fit & works perfect!
Bought this as we live in a very poor tv reception area, and down in a valley. TV ariel engineer advised that a new tv ariel could be fitted at a cost of £120, but it wouldn't really make any difference to how many channels we receive (we only got around 20 channels on Freeview (and 10 of them were +1 channels!).He recommended a satellite dish (same price as ariel fited) but I'd need to buy a FreeSat box (around £50 to £60).We bought one and then I thought I'd check just how much a new dish cost. Was amazed to see how low a price this full kit was (we went for 30M cable option). Arrived quick, and installation was pretty straight forward once you got the dish/bracket assembled. Check out where your neighbours dishes are pointing as a rule of thumb. Make sure bracket is installed to the wall perfectly level as this is important.Once installed, set up using the included signal meter was easy. Once tuned we got 187 channels, and all have perfect picture etc (including HD channels which look super sharp now).So chuffed with this as never realised how easy it is to install and set up the dish. This kit looks to be well made, and has everything you need to install, just need a drill (preferably with hammer action), a small centre punch to mark the holes and give the drill a good starting point. Also a spirit level to make sure the bracket is bang on level/straight.Really happy with this kit and highly recommend it.

Good quality Zone 1 dish and accessories
I wanted to add Freesat channels to the existing Freeview (terrestrial) feeds available in the house. Plenty of videos to watch on YouTube to help with the dish assembly, but in truth, although the guide is brief, the setup is actually pretty straightforward, you just needs a 13mm socket to attach the bracket to your wall, and a 10mm socket to adjust the Azimuth (East & West) adjustment and Elevation adjustment once its mounted. The azimuth is the most important alignment, once you have found the satellite, it is just a case of setting the elevation to get the strongest signal. The "dishpointer" app and/or website are invaluable for ensuring you are pointing at the right satellite to start with (there are loads up there!). Make slow movements, constantly turning down the signal meter to the mid point each time it gets to maximum. Once you have the azimuth set it is far easier getting the elevation right rather than the other way around. The Quad LNB supplied will feed 4 different TV's, or 2 TV's (or set-top-boxes) if they have PVR recording capability. I purchased the kit with 50m of twin coaxial cable, which I cut in half to create a 25m feed for our living room TV and another 25m feed to the telly we have in the bedroom. All the components supplied seem to be good quality, even down to the raw plugs for the bracket and the cable clips to nail the cables to the wall. The kit supplies 4 F-type connectors with the LNB, there are 4 more F-type connectors already attached to the ends of the twin coaxial cable and two F-Type barrel joiners as well.I'm really pleased with this kit and its performance. For the price, I consider it to be great value.

decent dish
Just finished installing this dish. Wasn’t too bad. Could have done with a couple of extra nuts but you can always buy a couple and make the dish more rigid in strong winds. Not bad though. Used youtube to find how to assemble. Loads of videos of exact same dish so no problems. These are the same dishes that sky use for new customers because the sky logo is actually imprinted on the arm bracket, also it is the itentical dish and lnb that was installed on my neighbours house when they had sky installed. I didn’t bother with the sat finder because although it finds satellites it doesn’t tell you which one and there are loads of them so you could be there for a while. I downloaded a great free app called satellite finder pro. Once installed on your phone it gives you a selection of satellites to chose from. I selected one of the astra satellites there are about 3 or 4 to chose from the one I selected was astra 2A/B/C/D/F/G (east 28.2 ) this is the one with all the usual uk channels. Once you selected it shows a live compass of where in the sky your satellite is, just put your phone against the lnb and the screen tells you to move the dish exactly where the satellite is. When the dish finds the satellite your phone gives a loud beep. Tighten the nuts on the dish and tune your tv in. really easy and saves loads of time trying to find the right position in the sky. Great little app. You need a 10mm masonry bit for the wall mounting bracket and a 13mm spanner for the wall bracket screws. You also need a 10mm spanner for the nuts on the arm. The 4 black screws that attach the dish to the arm are a bit tough to screw in at first. What I did was started the screw holes without the dish first just so you have a good grip. Just tighten with a Philips screwdriver. The lnb has a pulldown plastic cap on the end so when it’s all set up just pull the cap and it covers the connectors as protection from the elements, nice feature. Lots of cable clips too although a few more cable ties would have been nice, only came with 2, used them to secure the excess cable to the dish arm to make it nice and neat. All in all a decent dish with some minor improvements needed but for £38 and a couple of hours work I’ve saved myself a few quid. I was quoted £120 by an installer.Hope this helps.

Great Freesat Dish Kit
Great kit. Clear instructions and easy to install. I found that to use the satellite finder on my Samsung TV I had to go into a set up menu to eneble support so if it doesn’t work for you have a look at your TV manual. The kit contained everything needed and performance is very good, we now have 100’s of channels including many in HD. Highly recommended.
