So much more effective than expected!
I bought this after destroying my hair with bleach. The only hope to add any color to my hair, without further ruining it, meant using a color gloss in the shower which I did DO but .. the problem with damaged hair and shower glosses for that matter is... you can't always control how much pigment gets left behind in certain areas. I ended up with mostly light sunshine blonde hair like I wanted, other than for the front of my face and bangs, which were like... a harsh bright yellow and it stood out way too much against the rest of the hair. I used this Paul Mitchell shampoo JUST ON THE AREA that got too much color saturation and it brought the intensity down A TON. I was so unbelievably relieved. I have used this twice in a row before if I needed to get more color out and it worked like a charm; ease of use is easy peasy and it smells wonderfully too, it has a light, fresh and clean scent. This is an incredible and invaluable tool for people who dye their own hair BUT aren't total experts in the process lol. This really rescued me when I needed it and allowed me to face society again without any insecurity. Thanks for an awesome shampoo!

Superior chlorine removal without the dryness
I take the kids swimming at a public pool pretty much every day during the summer and it is brutal on my long, wavy hair. Last year my hair was brittle and frizzy and tangly and dry but also somehow greasy looking and by July my hair was falling out in clumps. My natural red hair color even looked faded and grey-greenish. I tried many different clarifying shampoos and chelating chlorine removal shampoos and this is by far the best one. I can not believe how soft and shiny and healthy my hair feels after using this shamoo! It instantly makes a difference. Yesterday I went to the pool twice and washed my hair with this while rinsing off after the second swim and I didn’t even use any conditioner or styling product but my hair feels amazing today! It’s bouncy and shiny and soft and feels super clean. My hair looks and feels even better than it did before the swimming season started (which I suspect is due to buildup from hard water, which this shampoo also removes).

Great quality, lemon scented clarifying shampoo
Love this Paul Mitchell clarifying shampoo! I use it about once a week to get a deep clean in my hair and it definitely works, without drying it out. It has a lemon scent to it and makes my scalp feeling refreshed after using.

Gets your hair super clean!
I originally bought this shampoo to strip my blonde hair of the red color I had regrettably put in it (and it did thankfully), but now that I am back bleach blonde I still use it about once a week. I feel it’s a great DEEP cleaning shampoo. I tend to wash my hair every 4-6 days and so I use this about every other wash. I use it before I deep condition because I feel like it strips my hair from the dirt/product/oil buildup and then my hair mask/deep conditioner actually soaks into my hair instead of sitting on top of it. Only downside is I don’t love the smell: smells a little chemically but usually my conditioner and leave in products cancel out the smell. Also if you overuse it, it can and will dry your hair out bad so be careful!

Clean streak
I use this as a chelating shampoo to reset my hair, since I have hard water with a lot of minerals that are build up even with a shower filter. I use it once a week. It not only removes product build-up but dissolves iron and calcium deposits, leaving my hair super clean and soft. Makes a great lather and has a very light, fresh fragrance. It is as effective as Malibu C and costs 1/3 less. If used on dry hair too often is can be damaging so limit it to once a week.

One of my favorite cleansers for pool and buildup remover
I brought this because I was learning to swim. it was great, my hair felt clean and chlorine free. Recently I used more to remove a very greasy buildup - my hair felt gross, greasy, and just yucky to the touch.. After the first shampooing, I felt clean and the second one was just a lovely affair. I didn't need to shampoo twice at all. I feel clean and my hair is easier to manage. Imo, buy this one over shampoo two if you get in the pool (or plan too)and/or your heavy on the products.

Like an eraser for hair gunk
I'm currently six months into the process of letting my natural hair grow out from years of processing. I often use a co-wash instead of shampoo to keep my hair from becoming overly frizzy, but that also weighs down the hair with extra oils. I also have to deal with hard mineral-laden water that tends to give my hair brassy tones which I combat with purple shampoos. When styling my hair I add mousse and finishing sprays, and all of these things can add up to making my hair coated and unable to absorb moisture to keep frizz at bay! This is where this product comes in. Paul Mitchell Shampoo Three is a clarifying shampoo. It cleans your hair of "gunk" deposits, erasing the crud that's accumulated on your scalp and hair, giving you a renewed palate to deep condition and style as desired. I have used this product once and I love the way it works! It takes very little of it to get a good lather going. After gently agitating the shampoo through my hair and on my scalp I rinsed my head well. The product didn't leave my hair feeling smooth, but it did make it feel clean. I then followed the cleansing with a deep conditioner for five minutes and then rinsed. I used a leave-in conditioner and some mousse to produce a smooth, easy to manage style that felt soft to the touch. The thing is, I have naturally curly hair that tends to be frizzy due to lack of hydration being retained no matter what I put on it. This product wiped away the stuff that was not allowing my hair to absorb the moisture offered by the conditioners and produced a great hair day. I definitely recommend this product, but not to be used every day unless your lifestyle assaults your hair with chlorine or similar each day. I'm very happy to have found this product and I think it is a wonderful option for deep cleansing without stripping your hair.

It gets the chlorine out!
My daughter swims every week. She has 3a-3b hair. I wet her hair, put Trihard kids pre&post swim conditioner in it, then put on the swim cap. The chlorine still gets in! BUT... this shampoo actually gets the chlorine out!!!!!! Often I only need one round, but sometimes 2. Once it gets really sudsy, I know it got everything. Then I condition with nexxus humectress conditioner and style with innersense "I create volume" gel. After air-drying, her curls are soft, bouncy, juicy, and POPPIN'!
