The case look amazing.

Firstly, the locking mechanism on this case is amazing. Unlike many other cases where you have to build the thing up, you just slide your phone into this one, close the case up and clamp it shut. Easy. I've tested the 67mm filter thread only at this point, as I already have many, many 77 & 82mm ND/CPL filters for my mirrorless camera. I am using step up rings to allow them to fit to the case. As expected the filters work just as well as they would on a mirrorless camera, and even better if you have the larger filters you will have basically no issue with seeing the edges of the filter on your photos. The 67mm adapter is also magnetic in case you have the supported magnetic filters. This case features some fancy new accessory design "hawklock" that lets you attach handles to the case. I use handles just like this with my Sony camera and they're useful for video. The handles don't come with this case and opinions might vary on whether you need them or not. If it isn't already obvious, this case does add a bit of size to your phone. I can see this dissuading people from using the case on a permanent basis.

It's worth noting this cage is specifically aimed at videographers. Considering this as a case alone: it is quite bulky; somewhat weighty; offers little grip; and makes it more challenging to use the phone single-handedly - even with my large hands. Considering as a videography specific cage with all the included features it is quite compact, and I can see it would be useful if making use of the included features such as cold shoe and Smallrig Hawklock mounts for various accessories such as handles. It is extremely sturdy - it and my phone have survived one drop already. I imagine that dropping onto any reasonably flat surface the phone would be ok in this cage. It is still possible to use wireless chargers and NFC with the case attached. Right angled USB cables just about plug in but a straight one is more sensible with this cage. It is easy to insert and remove the phone, and to fit and remove the included lens accessories for add-on filters. There is a point intended for a lanyard to mount. Clips do not manage to hook around it so you need the small bit of string type. It would be improved by having lanyard mounts each side for a cross body strap. The only real downside to the cage is the fact additional accessories add extra cost.

I think the most important thing to know is that this is a solid and dependable piece of kit. The quality and resolution of modern phones is such that they really are serious pieces of equipment. This rig is a brilliant start point for building a very sophisticated and professional set up. There are a lot of accessories readily available and the ability to switch lenses and filters in a few seconds places this right at the top of my list. It’s solid and has enough weight to show that, but it’s also light enough to carry all day. It’s not a cheap first step into the system but it’s got so much to build upon that it’s money well spent. The phone fits perfectly, as you would expect, and the grip is good. Though handgrips can be added for even more security in handling.

Perfect fit on my Samsung s24 ultra. I'm really pretty impressed with its quality. Smallrig always create good quality cage. I love how it has an anti slip rubber inside the cage also the one-click locking system is cool and super secure. It so compact i haven't really see any problems with it comes to the filter adapters it works brilliant the quick mount magnetic is awesome. WELL DONE SMALLRIG! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Firstly, let me start off with how well made the product is, it’s excellent, the only downside is some of my lenses don’t work, this isn’t anything to do with the lenses as they work on my 16 pro max, they just don’t seem to work as good with this cage.

Der Rahmen ist super. Das Handy sitzt passgenau im Rahmen und man kann eine Menge an dem Rahmen anbringen - neben den Griffen. Die Adapter für Magnetfilter und 17mm-Gewinde sind absolut passgenau. Ich hätte mir noch eine zweite "Öse" für einen Gurt gewünscht. So kann der Gurt nur an einer Stelle befestigt werden - das stört eher im umgehängten Zustand. Zusätzliche Schraubösen würden die Löcher für die Griffe blockieren. DAfür zeieh ich aber keinen Stern ab. Das ist ein tolles Produkt.

I saw this product being reviewed by a YouTuber, it intrigued me and wanted to give it a try. The person was not lying, this is a high quality product, the solid metal cage gives protection and stability when attaching the various handles and accessories to it. For video recording the stability and easy at which you can move your phone is amazing. The ability to attach and detach accessories with easy is such a wonderful feature of this cage. You can flip, spin, put on a mic or light quickly, easily, and never miss a shot. I always bring my Small Rig whenever I head out to explore a local park, attend an event, or just feel like making something creative with my phone. I highly recommend their products.
