A Fun, Clever Way to Build Real Math Skills!
I ordered the Adsumudi Math Game – Little Ones and it has been such a fantastic addition to my classroom. The game is adorable, easy to learn, and truly helps kids strengthen their addition, subtraction, and mental math skills without it feeling like “work.” The cards are colorful and engaging, and the challenges are perfectly leveled so students stay motivated but not overwhelmed. My students absolutely love trying to “beat the monster” and come up with creative ways to reach the target number. It’s great for centers, small groups, early finishers, or even at-home family game time. The quality is excellent, the instructions are simple, and the learning value is huge. If you want a math game that’s fun, educational, and kid-approved, Adsumudi is an amazing choice!

A Clever Concept Best Suited for Guided Play
This is a cleverly designed game for helping little ones practice their mental math skills. The core concept is engaging and straightforward: you are presented with a number in the center and three numbers in an outer ring. The challenge is to use the outer numbers with addition and subtraction to create an equation that equals the center number. There are two built-in difficulty levels to provide a handicap. Older players can use all three outer numbers, while an easier variation allows younger players to use just two. The numbers are printed nice and large so all players around the table can see. While the box says "age 4+," I think this game will be frustrating for even most advanced four years olds. The game requires addition up to 20, which is typically something taught starting in first grade (6 year olds). While the game is fun, I observed an interesting dynamic when kids play against each other. They quickly figure out that one player is often faster at solving the puzzles, which can lead to that person winning consistently. This can be discouraging for the other players, causing them to lose interest after a short time. Because of this, I've found the game works best as a tool for an adult to use with one child. In that setting, it's possible to guide the gameplay, let the child "win" sometimes, and use it as a fun learning activity rather. It’s a great way to reinforce number bonds and build mathematical confidence.

Math practice for littles—so great for homeschool!
We regularly use another of the Adsumudi games in our homeschool, so I got this one for my youngest kids since the other version is too difficult for them. My kids love these games and find it way more fun to play a math game than to do worksheets! The idea is that players add and/or subtract the outer colored numbers to reach the solution in the center of the card. They can compete again each other to win the card or work together. And this game also suggests a creative play mode where numbers can be used more than once or split in a variety of ways. The How to Play manual has lots of suggestions and tips. It plays quickly, and can be adjusted in length by deciding how many cards to collect to win, or how many cards can be solved in a preset amount of time. I can even involve all my kids at once by getting out both Adsumudi games and making two piles for different kids to use at once. This one is fun for the littles and the durability and quality is great!
