Tracing Wheel-Serrated Edge

So useful that I can't believe I haven't used one in decades. Oh, yeah. That's because I haven't sewed anything using a pattern since high school :( I've sewing plenty, just straight lines, tote bags, pillow cases, simple skirts, etc. But, with this, I will now use those patterns I've been collecting with the hopes of making them *some day* - Wheee! This works for other crafts, too. I've been using it to mark even spacing for hand sewing on paper and bead placement. Nifty little tool.

Well made and sturdy. Great for perforating lines for foundation paper piecing.

I love this tracing wheel. It really is as pointy as others I have seen that look like they have needle point spikes. I get a very deep clear dotted line that I can use to easily trace in my grainlines or to cut along. This is the only serrated edge tracing wheel that I have seen that lets you guide your tracing by holding it close to the wheel. All of the others I have seen have a wooden handle far on the end of a metal rod, so you are holding it far away from the wheel. I think that I have better control over exactly where the wheel is going because I have my grip very close to the wheel. It is also smaller than the others and easily fits in my sewing box.

The long spikes on this tracing wheel and ergonomic handle make it my favorite wheel. I used to avoid using tracing paper because it seemed like it was an awful lot of effort that didn't seem to produce usable results but I think it was just partly the wheel I was using. This wheel makes a big difference and is safe on all but the most delicate fabrics.

I am learning and wanting to create my own clothes and I do that by watching video tutorials online. I wanted to recreate my favorite jeans that is why I made a pattern using the said jeans. I do that by pinning my jeans down on the pattern paper and when the jeans are well secured, the tracing begins. This tracing wheels makes the job easier and allows me to copy the precise measurements. It gives you a clear and define holes on the paper(without tearing your paper) making it easier for you connect them all together. This is actually my first tracing wheel and I'm glad that I got it. It makes my pattern making easier and exact. The handle is also comfortable to hold while you are tracing. It is just long enough for my small hands and rolls smoothly. I just recently made a denim shorts using my jeans as my pattern though it isn't perfect, I think it is good enough for beginners like me.

EXCELLENT. It perforates small holes along a drawn line. As always. Clover is the best and this tool works just as it claims when preparing your paper for paper piecing. It makes tearing away the paper so much easier, almost coming off by its self after the sewing. I highly recommend doing this extra step in perforating, and this is the perfect tool for it.

Clover makes such great quality sewing products and this is no exception. It's terrific for tracing patterns and marking outlines on paper for foundation paper piecing.

This gadget really does a great job of pattern tracing. Easy to hold lightweight and sharp. Highly recommended

I find this tracing wheel easy to use and I like how small and compact it is. I've used it to trace the patterns for two sets of jammies so far and it's been a cake walk. No issues at all. If I needed to, I would buy this again.

Perfect for running over the lines on my foundation paper pieced printed patterns - ultimately saving money, as I don't have to buy expensive foundation papers, but use printer paper instead :)
