Great All-Around Option for the Solo Paddler
Perfect size for a solo paddler, and it comes with everything you need to get started at a reasonable price—leaving some budget room for future accessory upgrades. One minor gripe is the screw-in rear fin; I worry about losing the screw or fin in the water. Thankfully, both store neatly in the outer zip pocket of the carrying bag when not in use. The dual/single action air pump works great—if you’ve got the stamina. Otherwise, investing in an electric pump might be a smart move. There are just the right number of D-rings for seat attachments and other add-ons. The alloy paddle is decent for a starter, but I already know that’ll be my next upgrade. Overall, it’s a durable and stable summer ride with no issues holding air, making it a reliable and fun option for the season.

Great Buy! Additional Instructions Below...
So far the value for the price has surpassed my expectations! I bought it for $347 and it's my first iSUP, so I figured I didn't want to spend much off the bat in case I didn't like it, and this one got good reviews. So far so good, and the kit is great! It's nice having everything all at once. As mentioned by other reviewers, the bag feels a bit cheap (mostly the zipper), but so far it's done its job. The iSUP itself is really pretty (and somewhat as important, it also floats and has held air for 3 days). The material and D rings feel pretty sturdy and the foot grip is definitely grippy. It's a bit less steady overall than I hoped for, but I'm also 5'8", so maybe if you're shorter it wouldn't be as bad. It could also just be me. However, it's definitely not stopping me from using it and I haven't fallen off...yet. The paddle seems good and is a better quality than I expected after some reviews. It feels strong enough and I don't envision it breaking anytime soon. It's also adjustable, so it's good for any height. The ankle leash is actually pretty heavy, but once on you don't really notice it. The repair kit is just an orange tube with a few patches. I suppose we purchase our own adhesive, if needed. The one thing I wish it came with is better instructions for blowing it up and deflating it. I consider myself to be fairly fit, so it surprised me that it took around 20 minutes to inflate it when most said it could be done in 10. A quick internet search was a huge help, but only after I worked twice as hard at pumping it up. I've included some tips below to help others along. As for the pump quality, it seems pretty average. Felt sturdy enough, gets the job done, and I honestly wasn't expecting much more than what it is. ***Tips for Pumping Up and Deflating*** -The pump has two settings controlled by a tear-shaped swivel thingy near the top of the pump body. When pumping up your iSUP, swivel the tear-shaped setting to the right. This is the double action pump setting; meaning it will pump air into the iSUP on both the up and down actions, lessening the inflation time. -The PSI gauge doesn't really move much until you get around to 12 PSI or so. As you get closer to the 15 PSI max fill, it will get harder to pump, so swivel the tear-shaped setting to the left. This is now a single action pump, which will make it a little easier to fill the iSUP the rest of the way since it takes more oomph at this point (you'll know it's single action because air will blow out the open side of the pump). -When you remove the air pump it will be LOUD! I woke up my husband and my dog; they both gave me the 'what for' look. Yikes and oops. -When it comes time to deflate the iSUP, simply remove the valve cover, then press and gently turn the red 'button'. This will lock down, allowing the air to come out. Please note: this will also be really LOUD! I deflated mine outside around 11pm, in the still of the night. I have no idea what the neighbors thought. I'm sure there were plenty more 'what for' looks. Yikes and oops again. Hopefully this information helps. I lamented, searched, and compared for quite awhile before buying this one. I wish I had purchased it sooner! I've only used it once in the week we've had it, but I'm definitely happy with it. If anything changes I'll be sure to post an update. Happy paddling!

Great product - well designed and good value
We ordered this to take on a lake trip with numerous adults and youth. this is the first paddle board we have purchased and we were very pleased. Friends had another brand paddle board with them that also worked well but this one had a more thoughtful overall design. Comparing the two items: The bag containing the board and equipment was heavier duty than the other comparable board we had, in addition they placed an open, webbed window in the bag to allow wet items to evaporate which the other didn't have - nice attention to practical detail. The pump included is a double action pump and worked much faster than the one included with the other board. The pressure gage on the pump worked well - the other pumps pressure gage did not work. The paddle has three-pieces compared to two on the other we had - packed down smaller and allowed for better adjusting than the other. The surface of this board had a much better non-slip feel than the other board that came with us. The board was challenged by both adults and youth and it handled the usage well - multiple kids standing on the board playing "king of the board" as well as adults, it was taken across a lake and back with an adult and four kids and it performed well! Contact with the company has been positive and friendly. They followed up on the registration with me and are including a gift wit the registration which may be a limited item but I am very impressed. I don't leave many reviews for items on amazon but I really appreciate this paddle board!

Length or width, but isn't it also about customer service? (revised 07/20/2021)
The board is good. It is. I had used my girlfriend's Thunder Wave before and was pretty sure about the quality of the Serene Life board, but wanted a longer board. So I dove in and bought the Free Flow as it is longer by six inches. (joke, baked right in) Super fun. Not as steady as some (also just bought a Roc Scout which I have not taken for a drive yet, but is purported to be less wobbly), but a great, entry-level board. Comes with an ankle strap, pump (broken), repair kit, paddle. I replaced the paddle as the one that came with it was kind of wobbly. Two bigger problems: 1. Unfortunately, the pump arrived broken. 2. There is an insert card that arrives with the board that states that one is to register the board within seven days of receiving to extend the warranty and receive a free gift. Here is where the board loses not one, but two stars. I tried to register the board, but the page kept stopping at point #3. I called Serene Life customer service in order to get assistance with both issues. I have spent no less than three hours on the phone and in emails with Serene Life customer service to absolutely no avail. There is definitely a language barrier there, but even more, a procedure barrier. After each time a person took my call (which was harrowing, as the menu options are terrible), as the menu options are terrible), they would then tell me that someone would follow up by email. A few days later, an email arrived asking me for all of the same information that I had provided to the CS agent. Four days have now passed, I have not heard back. I tried to get them on facebook. Got a bot. No person has contacted me. It is now two days post that message. Totally frustrated, I contacted Amazon customer service who were slightly more helpful after I go them past the "Send the whole board back, and we will send you a whole, new 20-pound package." A ridiculous waste of resources. Customer service is an imperative part of consumer satisfaction as it pertains to any customer experience and Serene Life falls woefully short here. It is a fine, entry-level board that loses marks for the terrible customer service. EDIT 07/20/2021: Customer service really turned it around and I feel compelled to change this to a four-star review. Since my last post, customer service has indeed made good on their promise to extend the warranty as well as send me a free kayak seat (as per their insert promise re: registering the board). Additionally, the fin broke and they promptly sent me a new one. All of these things are very much appreciated. The reason it only gets a 4-star review at this point: 1. The fin screw feels unnecessary and begs breaking (which it did). While I understand the thought, the execution is not great and I anticipate the need for another one someday. 2. My girlfriend got me another board as a birthday gift (ROC Scout) and I really like it better. The stability is much better (at three inches wider) and the form factor makes it feel like I can get a little more speed and play from it. Good board and customer service stepped up.

Awesome board!
This paddle board is absolutely amazing!! It's so easy to pump up and deflate. The carrying bag keeps everything together with room for extras, like an inflatable life vest. It's comfortable, quick and stable on the water. Even the paddle is great quality! I got it on sale, but even at full price it's definitely worth it!

Great product. Great customer service
Got this board as an entry level after a lot of research. I wanted something that was good quality, but wasn’t too expensive so I could see if I’d enjoy it before spending a couple thousand with the big names. I won’t be upgrading anytime soon. This board is great!! First of all it came with a part missing. I emailed and they got one right out to me. Service was great. The quality of the board is top notch. It’s rock hard when inflated to the recommended 15PSI. My friends all thought it was a hard board till we got back to the car and I deflated it. I was able to stand up on it the very first time I tried in our pool. I was pretty shaky that day, but quickly was able to relax and get a feel for it. By the end of that week I was out on the open water feeling very comfortable. It’s a very stable SUP. It’s also tough. Way tougher than I expected. We went out on a lake that ended up being full of stumps. I was so afraid they were going to put a hole in my board and I’d be stuck swimming back from the middle of the lake. I passed over multiple large stumps that lifted my board as I went over them, but it didn’t even make a scratch. The board is also light and quite manageable when packed up in the backpack. I am older and thought I would have a hard time with it. I purchased a separate 12v air pump and inflating as well as deflating and packing up are quick and easy. I am so pleased with my board and would recommend it 100% to anyone looking for a good inflatable.

Big Bang for the Buck! My friends are jealous!
**** 1 Year Update at Bottom **** This item is a Big Bang for the Buck! Fast shipping, affordable price, well constructed. I’m looking forward to days and days of floating and fun! I’m 6’0” and about 200lbs and this one is perfect! Easy to balance and I can even have another adult person on the board with me. I get lots of compliments on how nice my board looks! Update after several weeks of use: This paddle board is great! I’ve already had several friends who have used other paddle boards ask me where they can purchase this one. It’s very stable, durable, and glides quickly across the water. I can stand on it and when I do fall I often can avoid falling in the water by landing on the board - I can’t emphasize how much more stable it is than some smaller boards I’ve used. The dual action pump is much better than the pumps that my friends received with their boards from other brands. Let’s talk pumping… it’s a LOT of work! It takes about 270 pumps to get to 15 psi, and the higher the pressure, the harder the pumping gets. If you want good cardio, use a manual pump (I have been). But, if you have a bad back, I suggest investing in an electric pump. Also, the oar is easy to adjust. Great SUP and I highly recommend it! ***1 year update *** Best ever! Better than 90% of boards I see in the wild. Fantastic board! zero issues! ***2 year update *** this is still a wonderful board! I purchased a second board from a different manufacturer (ROC) For about $100 less and It was disappointing, compared to this wonderful board. I’m starting my third paddleboard season with this board, sometimes using it multiple times a week, and it’s still going strong, never had a leak, never had a single issue, minimal signs of wear. Buy this!

Avoid at all costs!!!
**edit after only a few uses** I knocked the rating down to one star. I’m am disgusted with the “customer service “ I received on behalf of the warranty dept. I used this three time. Stored it properly. Went to take it out a fourth time and it lost air quick. Brought it home, and found air bubbles coming from the seam. Being it’s under warranty I thought okay this won’t be an issue as it’s a seam that is clearly under warranty. Filed over a week ago was given a ticket number and didn’t hear anything so I called customer service. They claimed they emailed me. Nothing in spam or anywhere. Then after being put on hold for a handful of minutes, he comes back to tell me to put a repair patch on it. I do NOT think this in an acceptable answer as a patch that’s provided is something in case I damaged the product somehow due to negligence or something. This is clearly a manufacturer defect. I asked to talk to a supervisor. Placed on hold again. He comes back and tells me the manager can’t be found?! Yea I bet. So if you are on the fence to purchase one of these please look to another more reputable company. I can not believe this is how they handle their products that are clearly still within the bounds of warranty time. **************************************************** I’m a newb at this. I live in Hawaii and really wanted to learn new water things. This is the thing. I can not speak of stability etc bc I have no basis for comparison. Easy to get on even when you fall off in water you can’t touch the ground in. I felt rather comfy paddling on my knees and eventually I stood up. If only briefly before I ate it. Had a ton of fun though and look forward to doing this again soon. My ONLY issue is that the gauge on the pump doesn’t work. Unless I’m doing it wrong but I don’t think so. So I have to guess if it’s the right amount of inflating or not lol. Oh well. Seems like a great product and rolls up into a cool carrying backpack case. I would definitely recommend!
