Solid bit of kit
This is a solid bit of kit and a really powerful Class D 2 channel amplifier for the price. It's small and has a good high quality build, the front knob feels plastic, but it feels good to turn and enough resistance to get a perfect setting. Worth noting it does have a reasonably sized power brick for power but given the power it's outputting it's understandable and keeps the main desk unit small, much appreciated. Stereo max output is 2x300w or Mono at 600w and it works very well, you really hear the difference and felt like it did a fantastic job at bringing the vocals in some songs to pop, considering it's price it does a phenomenal job that might not be top of the range, but you would pay much much more for something slightly better, this is great.

Over Egged Specifications.
I bought this after lots of research and much time spent watching and reading reviews. The build quality is good. Feels like a well made piece of kit. Sound quality is good. Connectivity is ok. The claimed specs are where this falls over. 300w sounds great but it's only in very specific circumstances and then only when the wind blows in the right direction ;) If you want affordable Chi-Fi kit that sounds great for the price, then this could be a great option. If you are trying to rattle the windows with 300w of booming sound then maybe this isn't for you. When I questioned this, the support was reasonable but not up to par in fairness. I would try this and other Aiyima products in the future, maybe the unit I received and subsequently returned was faulty in some way? But I wouldn't let that put me off in the future.

37W per channel RMS amplifier!
AIYIMA A07 MAX 2 CH mini Hifi amplifier 300Wx2 TPA3255 Class D Power Amp Bridgeable Mono Stereo ..... This is a very smart looking amplifier, it comes very well packed in a retail box along with a power supply, 3pin UK plug lead and an instruction booklet. The amplifier is extremely well made, a very solid and quite heavy device for its size. There is a single rotary button on the front which acts as volume and power, along with two LEDs, one either side to indicate whether it is set for mono or stereo. Around the back are the left and right RCA (phono) sockets, a 3.5mm jack socket for AUX output, the speaker terminals and then a barrel socket for the power supply input. On the underside is a vent and a tiny switch for selecting mono or stereo. The power supply is an external brick type with a detachable mains lead. So, after connecting it up to my minidisc player (yes some of us have them), the first thing to note was the hiss, or rather the lack of it. Without an input, even at maximum volume there was not a single trace of hiss or any noise whatsoever from the speakers, now that impressed me straight away. Playing some good quality music, the audio quality from the amplifier was very good, no detectable distortion even at high volumes (within reason). The sound is flat, there are no bass or treble controls, so you get an uncoloured representation of the sound, which is very nice and clean. However, the advertised 600 watts is far from the real-world power of this amplifier. The listing flashes several different numbers around to make this amplifier seem so powerful, (600W amplifier, 300W x 2, 48V5A power supply (240W), 8ohms 102W x 2, 190W mono max), all these in the listing. The 102W x 2 into 8 ohms is probably the closest and that will not be RMS but probably PEP or Pk-Pk power which all comes down to 36W per channel RMS with the supplied power supply into a pair of 8ohm speakers. A real-world comparison against my aging Marantz amplifier with the same input and with the same speakers, my Marantz outperformed this little amplifier in every way other than a little background hiss. The Marantz amplifier has a maximum output of 37W (RMS) per channel and was noticeably louder than this little amplifier. A few other noticeable niggles, the binding posts for the speakers are too close together making it difficult to screw down the terminals, ok if you have banana plugs. Also, the mono/stereo switch can be a little misleading as it is a ‘bridging’ switch to run the two amplifiers in a bridged configuration rather than just connecting 2 channels together to give a mono output. So, although a very nice, solid, and basic amplifier, don’t be fooled by the 600W heading, this is a 37W/ch RMS amplifier, a good one though!
