Review: Surround sound on blu-ray - Have all their albums, this has best surround sound Review: Audiophile Sound - The multi-channel is excellent. The best part is the 2 channel. It is clean, full, drum set is mic'd beuatifully. Morrison's voice is full, rich, clean. Nearly thrilling to listen to. It is amazing to hear it sound so good. Well worth the money. Keep in mind that it is audio only.

Amazing sound!
The Atmos 7.1 sounds excellent. I noticed some other reviews stating that it’s lacking. If you have the proper equipment and the setup is correct, this sounds flawless. Listening using Sony X800M2 Blu-Ray and a Onkyo TX RZ-720 receiver in 5.1.2 channel. Polk towers in the front, Polk center channel. Polk 12 inch subwoofer. Sony Dolby enabled front heights, and Sony 2 way bookshelves in the rear.

Audiophile Sound? 😳
I’m sorry but the Atmos and DTS 5.1 mixes are lacking. Vocals on the center speaker, music out of the front left and right speakers and very little coming from rear and ceiling speakers. This is audiophile Atmos/Surround sound? Not even close! To hear a true honest to gawd Atmos mix take a listen to Ken Scott’s Atmos mix of David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust blu-ray album or Alan Parsons surround mixes of the APP albums. But all is not lost because the DTS stereo mix on this album sounds excellent! Worth the $. Just not all that knocked out by the surround choices.

Awesome
While I'll probably break down and acquire all the Doors albums in multichannel, this sounds great in DTS Master Audio.

The Best Ever for The Doors in ATMOS, The Sound is Incredible
I am Super Fan of the Incredible SOUND of ATMOS. Sorry , Some People love the Horse and Buggy. Rather than the Ultimate Rich Sound of ATMOS.

Terrible Atmos implementation - "OK" 5.1 at best
Ho boy. I had previously purchased the 5.1 version of "L.A. Woman", and it's absolutely incredible! Great creative mix, very nice job matching the stereo instrument balances, good, spartan use of the LFE, exactly what you want. So I sprung on this Dolby Atmos + 5.1 + Stereo version of the "greatest hits". Well, damn. The Atmos mix - absolutely is awful. - Way way too LFE (subwoofer) heavy, often the bass guitar is ONLY going through the LFE, so it's muffled and super freakin' loud - a terrible mix. I think the mixer didn't calibrate the LFE or get "best practices" down before mixing. Or both. - Most songs are more or less a stereo mix with some center channel vocals and some over-the-top reverb in the surrounds and tops. The 5.1 fares better, but really only because the LFE is mixed better - and bass guitar/keyboard bass actually goes through the L/R speakers as well for a good frequency balance. If you're an audiophile looking for something like the LA Woman 5.1 mix, this isn't it.

Unsure if it was the source material but the separation for the majority of the tracks. It seems the best of the tracks were from the LA Woman album. The rest are meh. "The Best of the Doors" had three main variations. The original vinyl length 1973 edition, the 1980s edition that this was based on [originally 2 CDs or 2 LPs] and a 2000 edition that had multiple CD variations. Note that for this edition there is no visual. It opens right up into the Atmos edition but you can choose the DTS 5.1 or DTS stereo editions as well. The booklet is small with just a brief write up and technical information and a single photo of the band. The total of this comes out to just under 91 minutes.
