Needed a means to wrap my home HVAC A/C line drier. It was getting a bit rusty, and I cleaned it a few years ago, and painted it with oil based rust preventative paint. Years later, I see new rusty spots poking through the paint. The drier is NOT insulated, so it gets wet/condensation, so I figured I'll give this a try...sooner or later, it will rust through, and I'll be getting a new A/C drier. So this came in a plastic wrapper, and for lack of a better description, think doctors plaster cast for a broken limb. Gauze bandage material impregnated with a gooey, oily petroleum product, that can be worked into nook and crannies. With a little manipulation, like clay sculpting, I had it form fitting perfectly. Now when the drier gets cold, the outer gooey petroleum is wet, not the actual steel dryer. It provides some insulation, as well as rust protection in my application. For kicks, i wrapped 1 of 2 brackets on my snowblower...I'll unwrap in a year and see if if prevent rust.

Simply wrapped, came in great condition, works as expected. I use it for my hydraulic log splitter, stored it for the winter and the crazy temperature swings may have cause some of the fittings to come loose. Now I tighten the fittings and use this to wrap the connections. I recommend this product.
