KIOXIA EXCERIA PRO NVMe™ SSD 1TB - Gen 4, 7,300 MB/s Read, 6,400 MB/s Write

SSD arrived in time and adequately packaged. Product box was sealed and no damages or defects observed. Installed the device in my new PS5 slim and works like a charm. Games load and play flawlessly. As there is no way to check the heat in ps5, but a general touch test says that there is no heating up of device during use (heat sink used). 422 GB data transferred in 4 mins and PS5 rates the read/write speed at 6290 mbps as per the initial test.

I choose this SSD for a bit of research. After comparing many SSDs, there are not many SSD in this price with DDR4 DRAM, which increase performance in long run compared to 64MB HMB in 2TB SSDs in same price range. The company have reputation as NAND supplier for companies like HP, Corsair, WD etc. Everything else is similar to most other high performing SSDs. I added a aluminum heatsink, just in case. Getting around 6000-7000 read and write. IOPS are in good range to compared to other SSDs.

Bought this Exceria 2TB SSD, paired with an ssd enclosure. It was blazing fast I would say from Mac local drive to SSD.. copying 100GB data within 2 mins.. however speed depends on the port that we are connecting with. Copying from my old hard disk to ssd getting around 23mb/s speed only.. So if we have faster ports to connect, then the speeds are unmatched!

The price should be lower at 6500, otherwise the SSD works great, nice upgrade for Sata or HHD workstations. And gaming PC's i don't think we need Gen 5 versions. These Gen4 are more than enough.

The product arrived DOA. This unfortunately happens even on very high quality items like this one. The selller replied within a reasonable amount of time and issued a full refund including the cost of postage. I gave therefore 5 stars of review because sometimes mistakes can happen, stuff sometimes gets broken and at that point the way the seller interacts with the customer is crucial. Good job.
