Meet my prep chef. It's earned its place in my kitchen.
For an appliance to be valuable, it must be useful and worthwhile to use. It must make life easier and help you get things done. This food processor does a very good job at that. Just the right size. It had it's inaugural use today with slicing sweet potatoes and apples for a slow cooker side dish. Then used it for slicing mushrooms for another slow cooker side dish. The fact that you can set the slicing thickness is awesome. Worked well for different recipe needs. Then I used it to pulse up some crackers for topping one of those side dishes. No hiccups and good power. I really like the easy to use design. Provides what you need for all the different types of recipes and uses. So glad I purchased even when at the time of my purchase, it was a higher price than at the time of this review. Side notes: I decided that any appliance that allows me to make good food fast at home will pay for itself as long I as I'm willing to use them. This is a very nice addition to the slow cookers, pressure cooker, and Ninja 4-in-1 that allows me to make home cooked meals every day and no longer rely on fast food or frozen meals.

Most important thing to me is easy to use and easy to clean. UPDATE!
I used my HB Food Processor for the first time this morning. I love it. I must have read reviews on different food processors for weeks and the one thing that killed the purchase on many of them was they were unsanitary because you couldn't clean in the nooks and crannies. That is a deal breaker for me. This is dishwasher safe, but I prefer to wash and dry by hand. I made sweet potato bread in it this morning. The recipe is no yeast/no white flour. I have made this before, but not using a food processor. This made it so easy. Riced my sweet potatoes. I cut them into chunks, put them in the bowl and blended them first and then added the other ingredients. All the attachments are very user friendly and a breeze to wash. No hidden places for food to lodge and hide and that is important. The storage container is really nice and keeps the blades safe and sound. I can store it on its side right next to the processor so it leaves a small footprint. The only thing worth mentioning (and this is only if you are cooking for a large family) the machine is only 8 cup capacity. For me it isn't a problem, but if you are a bake-a-hollc, this may make a difference to you. All and all, very happy with it. It has some heft to it, but you don't need a forklift to move it around. The one I had years ago was so heavy I never used it. Lastly, I saw some folks ask if it was a problem for someone with arthritic hands? It probably depends on how severe you arthritis is. I don't have severe issues with arthritis, but I do have some problems. Honestly, I didn't have any trouble picking it up, putting on the counter, locking the lid or assembling and disassembling it after use. It is truly a very nice unit. UPDATE: Still happy with my purchase. I have riced cauliflower for cauliflower bread (eh - not the machine, pilot error on recipe), I have made frozen yogurt and it is fantastic. Easily used 4 cups of frozen fruit and made the most fantastic strawberry frozen yogurt. Next - peaches. Also have made sweet potato bread and it was so easy. 1. sweet potato chunks until "riced" 2. I put the eggs/coconut oil/maple syrup premixed. 3. All the dry ingredients premixed so it would be blended evenly. This was the 3rd time I made this and each time I tweaked how I added the ingredients. Every time it came out perfect. Still really love this appliance. UPDATE: While using my food processor today, the scraper broke and got caught in the upper blade. It was a clean snap. Can't repair. Scraper is now useless. I removed one star for this. It could have been dangerous, not just messy. I think the unit is damaged. Will check it out later.

Great for making homemade dogfood
This food processor worked fantastically for grinding up organ meats for my dog. I very lightly cook the organs, add appropriate veggies, and dog vitamins, and grind them up together. The smell grosses me out – but I hardly have to handle them – and I can put LARGE pieces in this device. I love this appliance, and my girl has never eaten so well! Oh, good for human meals, too!

Wonderful Product
Easy to use, easy to clean. This is just the right size - 8 cup - I like the locking lid. This is a great product that works well AND HAS ADJUSTABLE SLICER - very important - can adjust your slices UP TO 1/4" - you must get a machine with an adjustable slicer!

Great Little Food Processor
This is my 1st food processor, so keep that in mind when you read this review....lol I absolutely love this processor. I've only made a couple of dishes, but it was so easy to use that I made those dishes multiple times! I have a high end blender, but some foods are hard to get out of the blender; this is very easy to get all of the food out and very easy to clean. So far my favorite dishes to make in it are hummus and avocado chocolate mousse!

Lasted less than ten uses within one year. Is that worth $80? Don't think so.
Didn't last long. I purchased the Hamilton Beach Stack & Snap 8-cup Food Processor one year ago almost to the day. I used it less than 10 times. This morning used it to make a small batch of dough for crackers (not a tough job) and halfway through it went "crunch" and died a quick death. The machine comes with a dough blade, so it is supposed to be able to put together a small dough batch, right? I should have returned it after the first time using it because it put out a noticeable electical burning smell- but research on the internet told me that this was likely due to manufacturing chemicals burning off. It never really got better, but I used it SO SELDOM so I sorta forgot about it. Made a batch of crackers 2 days ago and the smell was more noticeable than ever. I thought, maybe the batch was a bit too large (4 cups in an 8-cup blender?!), so I decreased the recipe by 25%. Total fail, please put in the trash. I definitely do not recommend buying this product!

Good Stuff!
I'm very pleased with the food processor, it works great and can handle whatever we throw at it. The size works well for a family of 4. I've only had it a month but we have used it plenty and I can tell it's much better than the cheaper ones I have bought in the past. This motor can stand up to my husband and son and we have put it to the test to see if it can handle the the challenges past processors have broken down on and it passed with flying colors.
