we are first time breeders and this little kit checked off a bunch of things we had on our list of must haves. Really pleased with the quality.

I gave this a three for a couple of reasons. My primary reason for getting this was because it had scissors, a scale, and a stethoscope. Let's start with the positives.1. The scale is something we are still using into week 5. It's great that it gives options for measurements of weight. Our only real concern was the size, but we have found a way around that and will be using it if we have to do this again.2. The Velcro collars were of great use. We actually had two sets of them as we got a set with something else we purchased. And we found we needed to shorten them and then switched them after 2 weeks with the second set. They were great for helping us keep track of the puppies.3. The bag was great and we still use it to keep medical related products inside so they are easy to find. I have something similar for my bunnies and love having it around.4. The scissors worked well as we used it in cutting some of the cords that were still long and needed to be trimmed. Afterwards, they were used for trimming the collars. Worked well.Negatives:1. The stethoscope was very cheap and I really couldn't hear much. I tried it early hoping to hear baby heartbeats. But after birth, we tried listening to puppy hearts and lungs. With much frustration, we tried it on ourselves and ended up laughing. We are giving it to a friend's daughter to use as a play item.2. The clamps. Maybe this is on us, but we couldn't figure them out and when we did, the didn't think it worked well. We had dental floss on hand as that came highly recommended by a vet and other breeders.3. The nipples/bottles/etc. This was the worst part. We lost one puppy the first night and the second night needed to desperately supplement the smaller ones. First, the nipples have no holes in them and we tried making them. When we did that, we kept having to make the holes bigger and it just wouldn't work. With much frustration, we did a rush order on some newborn puppy bottles.Overall, I would recommend buying the items you need separately as I feel like we didn't use alot of what was in this bundle and the items we did use alone did not equal what was paid.

Cheap items everything broke after a few weeks or was defective

I bought this because of the variety of items. It saved me from buying each item separately. The scale is cheap, but if it's not meant for professional use, it works. I don't think it will be stable enough for the puppies in a few weeks, but it's perfect for ensuring weight gain in the early days. Stethoscope was cheap, but worked well. The aspirator came in very handy. I didn't need to use the feeding tools, but glad I had some on hand just in case. The first aid bag is cheap, but I'll throw some supplies in it for puppy road trips.The umbilical cord clamps were difficult to use and came off within minutes. I ended up using dental floss.The collars started out great, but the light colored ones faded. By the next day the light pink and white looked the same. I had to remove them to determine the color under the velcro. So I marked those collars with a sharpie. I had to cut them down to remove loose ends, so I'll replace them with newer ones in a week or so. But that means I have to order more.Overall, it's not horrible. It's just a bit overpriced for the quality of it's contents. Next time I'll buy what I need separately.

Very poor quality. Will not buy again.

This set is super nifty! It has some really nice basics for whelping (i.e. scale, syringes, colored collars, aspirator bulb). Some of the items lack a bit in quality, but there is still a decent functionality to everything! I plan to gift this to a friend who works in a rescue setting (who deals with a lot of newborn kittens & puppies).

Products seem a tad bit cheap, the collars don't stay on great and are kinda weird to use. The scale doesn't always turn on. The scissors also seemed a little weak while cutting through the umbilical cords but did do the job. Idk if I'd ever buy again but it's fine if your on a budget and need something asap.
