Reissue of Complete Clapton . Contains a 4-disc set on 120 gram vinylContains 36 of Eric's greatest songs from 1968 to 2006 in one vinyl collection. Review: Great collection of Eric Clapton music - Once I had the LP thoroughly cleaned they sound great - this is a fabulous collection of Eric Clapton music although there are a few songs I do not personally care for included. The devil was getting the records clean enough to sound right. I noticed no issues with music quality, mixing, or built-in pops and hisses. 1) These appear to be 120 gram weight LPs and all four of them have slight warping. The first LP was the worst but my turn table tracks over the warps without any problem. Just be sure you have a turntable that has good anti-skate controls and that they and the stylus weight are set correctly. 2) These 4 LPs had the most "leaf-litter" I have seen on new vinyl in quite a while. I call the shreds of tiny paper, cardboard and plastic that gets onto new records as they are package "leaf-litter". All 4 LPs had quite a lot of visible waste paper on them and some was stuck to the vinyl surface. 3) All 4 LPs had some kind of dried residue in the tracks - this lowers fidelity and can cause skipping issues. All 4 LPs required multiple thorough wet cleanings before I could detect no more track residue. The residue does not harm the LPs, it just has to be removed to get the best music possible. I used LP cleaning fluid and distilled water. 4) Because of all the debris on the new surface, I had to keep cleaning my stylus after playing one side of each LP or I would start hearing "pops" again. Once I had completed a second through cleaning and re-cleaned the stylus this issue disappeared. I can now play the LPs without any extra cleaning over and above what all my LPs get when I listen to them. It is not unusual for new LPs to have these issues, but the amount of debris and residue was unusual. I don't subtract from their score because all of this is fixable with some good cleaning which I do on all new LPs anyway. It is too bad these are not heavier vinyl LPs, the music cries out for superior materials workmanship. Review: Clapton at his best. - This is great 2 cds with great sound quality and great songs.

Best yet
I have been getting back into vinyl, moving away from hundred or so CDs back to the LPs from my 60s and 70s youth. Bought into the craze again of the sound of an LP vinyl vs the CD. First thing I find which is important is a CD is so easy to skip over songs. For a vinyl, put it on, sit back and listen to how the Producer and artist put the sequence of songs together, listen for the effects, the story, the ambience, the highs and the lows. Don't get that from skipping from track 2 to track 16 on a cd cause you don't ever listen to whats in the middle. So, this colleciton, what can I say? Picked up new receiver, turntable etc. Been repopulating collection with these remastered LPs. Got the Beatles, Simon and Garfunkle, Jackson Browne etc. Always concerned when they arrive as to the sound, the fidelity, can I trust, do they sound good in the system? This just arrived, first track, blew me away. It is a great recording. I am on Derek and the Dominos right now and there is no let up. The retakes of Creme, awesome, now Layla, awesome. This is worth every penny it costs. Great packaging, albulms in great shape. But the sound, even when I have to set volume low, still clear, still hear instruments, harmonies, leads. This is worth it, this is a very nice collection. I wish I could say this about all I have recently purchased. This is fabulous. Gotta have a Clapton collection for those rainy days, I wish it would rain some more today, this is great!!!!!

All the best music from Eric Clapton
This is a great disc to hear all of the Eric Clapton music; not only all of my favorite music by Clapton, but also great quality sound. So many songs I haven't heard in a long time, and great to listen to in the car.

Great compilation on vinyl covering claptons career in all its musical guises. Generally well remastered albeit I have heard the cream material sound better which lacks a little in the dynamics and sounds slightly flat, the remainder of the compilation sounds excellent.

If you’re just a casual fan or a full blown one a perfect lp to have.
