Grandchildren’s Favourite
I bought the starter set for a granddaughter’s birthday. She is 4 and she and her slightly older cousin loved it. I also bought an electric engine to add to the set. The children seem to prefer a self propelled train to the push variety.

Great Starter Set
My 2 year old son loves to play with this and build is tracks to push the train along. The tracks are easy to assemble and he has fun for hours. The parts all fit together well and are sturdy. The train in this set looks great too. The only complaint I have is that the size of the tunnel under the two grey cliffs is very tight with little room for error. If one of the people isn'l placed inside the train cab perfectly, it wont make it through. A small issue that doesnt change the fun of the game. In general Brio tracks and trains are more expensive than the alternatives, but they do use higher quality materials that last so this does offer good value for money.

My 3 year old grandson loves the monorail at Disney and to him, this is his beloved monorail! Great addition to his Brio starter set. Brio is always great quality and this is no exception. He loves it!
