If you look in the description under included components it states "(2) MATCHFIT Dovetail Clamps "

Q: What depth does the dovetail channel need to be?

3/8 inch is the set depth for the clamps to work effectively. Microjig do a set up guide for this.

Q: What is the size of the router bit shank?

Didn't get bit. Only clamps. So i don't now what is bit size

Q: Do these clamps require the specific dovetail bit by Microjig or will any 14° bit work ok?

Look for the angle of the router bit and width. If they match you'll be ok although quality of the steel will off course be a consideration. For reference look at the specification of the suggested bit then compare if you want to go down this route. Personally I opted for the suggested option only because I was lazy.
