Is this thing an instrument or not? The reviews are very conflicting.

I personally thought when I purchased it that it was an instrument. Upon receiving it however, I think that it is meant to be primarily decorative or resemble a real instrument. The sound is not musical. You could get better sound from hitting a brick with a hammer.

It doesn't really play any notes. It's just for decoration, a conversation piece. It's only 10 to 12 inches long and about 6 to 8 inches high.
