Good stuff!
This stuff is amazing. My scalp feels clean and almost like it is cooler than normal and maybe the your hair stands up just a little from your scalp. It works as a shampoo after you scrub your scalp. I bought some for myself, then bought some for my sister, and then had to buy more because my husband was using it too.

Healthier, Softer, Denser
This review is a journey: Ending 2022 and going into 2023, I noticed a change in the amount of breakage & individual strand shed that I was having daily. I switched up brushes, to decrease the amount of breakage. I switched up shampoo’s & hair masks to encourage hair bond strengthening. But nothing really seemed to work. What was once a random large shed after having my hair up in a French braid for multiple days due to camping or a fishing trip; became a daily event as I entered into 2024. By the end of January it was time to make a drastic change. I 1st cut my hair into a lob. Hoping that would stop breakage. Still didn’t help. By end of May, I’d sought out a new stylist. With her, I cut my hair into a pixie cut to stem the tide of breakage. Since I had lost close to 50% density of my fine hair, her recommendation was to work treating my scalp & switch shampoos. Something that wasn’t as heavy as I was using. After my haircut I did some research on highly rated Scalp Treatments. Steambase’s was 1 of several that I had read about. I then came to Amazon’s product page & read other patron’s reviews. That’s what was deciding factor to try it. I’ve been using Steambase’s Scalp scaler since beginning of July. I use it 2 or 3 times a week & wash my hair with Oribe’s Resilense Shampoo afterwards. According to my stylist, my scalp has never looked healthier. I have no flaking, even as dry as TN was for Xmas (vaca) & as dry as CA is in Dec. My hair density is visually noticeable as well. Tons of baby hairs sprouting everywhere not just at my hairline. My hair is so soft. Every time after I wash & dry my hair - it feels like freshly washed puppy fur. So soft & each hair light not weighted down with product or oil. If you’re considering trying this product I definitely recommend it.

Shampoo
I wasn’t sure in what step of my hair care I was supposed to add this, but it is pretty much just shampoo. Also, it doesn’t foam that much unless you use a lot of it. The product itself feels nice in the hair, and it does feel clean after using it, but for the price and size I’ll probably look for another alternative. Edit (19/06/2023): After using it for almost 3 months I’ve changed my mind and actually think it’s really worth it, you don’t really need it to foam that much to make ur scalp clean, and I can go like 3 days without washing my hair and it stills feels clean, which is really helpful for oily hair. Definitely worth it.

Great for Asian hair and dandruff
I was looking for something that helped with dandruff, as I had noticed it building up on my hair but I never thought about it too much until I started to notice it more. I decided to combine this with my usual hair shampoo and I haven't noticed dandruff in my hair after. I don't use too much and its a nice complement to my shampoo. I would recommend it if you want to get rid of dandruff and have your hair feeling fresher.

Saved Me From Greasy, Heavy, Feeling Scalp. Caused by Hard Water
Great Product! I moved to New York a couple of months ago and hated how greasy my hair had become. This was not the case when I was living at Seattle. Did some research and figured to try this product out. I LOVE how this product smells, it is not an overpowering minty scent, but one that is quite soothing. It feels amazing on my scalp and was very easy to apply with the applicator tip that it comes with. My scalp feels lighter, my hair feels fluffy with volume, and stayed fresh after 2-3 days! I tried it on my husbands and it also got rid of the greasy smell on his scalp!! Definately a recommend!! **Also, I had some questions with the product and reached out to the seller directly, they are so nice. :)

I pair this with my Dr. Bio shampoo, and my scalp and hair have never felt better. I love the soothing sensation it gives. Even though it doesn’t bubble up as much as regular shampoos, I really enjoy using it as the first step in my double-cleansing routine. It’s never irritated my scalp, which is a huge plus! It also lasts super long (but I think it does depend on how you use it).
