I think this tape works best for larger joint injuries/support like wrists and ankles. I usually use .25 inch tape for my fingers when doing BJJ. This could work for fingers, if you covered the entire joint, which might be viable. I don't like tearing it into thinner strips though. I'll have to experiment more and maybe try some Judo style taping methods. It is sticky enough without being too sticky. Iy's comfortable and durable (but thin). As I mentioned, I prefer my finger tape to be narrower but this is probably more geared towards wrists, ankles, and knees.
