OTICA 10 Watt ENT Surgical LED Headlight for Doctors Hospital and Multi Purpose (NonAdjustable Focus of Light)

Bought this headlamp to replace my old one, good light source. Comfortable. Unfortunately, you can't adjust the beam of light hence the 4star review.

In many respects a throw back to lights of 50 years ago, but has it's own advantages. This head lamp is big, heavy, awkward to store, and does not allow for readily replaceable batteries, so that when your charge runs down, there's a long wait to before it is fully operational again. The battery compartment is poorly sealed and unsuitable for outdoor use. Charging cord is a clunky affair with the interface made up of stacked adaptors. Furthermore, there is no way of easily storing the charging cable with the device. But For small scale precision work, indoors or inside a vehicle, this is a knock out. VERY bright light, tightly focused from about a 1" disk to a 4" disk depending on head distance from a bench top. Illumination is very even across the disc. Head gear is highly and easily adjustable, even when wearing. I'm going to keep this near my project table, and expect it shall see a lot of use, despite the multiple high intensity and desk lamps I already have in place

Charger Not there

It comes with Asian power plug and adapter. After few uses the battery doesn’t charge fully. Light is very dim and dies quickly because the battery doesn’t charge properly.

I really love this headlamp set. While I'm sure that most people searching for surgical lighting are probably not looking at this item on Amazon, the uses are limitless for craft work and when outdoors, hiking, and camping. The light is incredibly bright and travels a long distance without being overwhelming in terms of the light beam being overly broad. It would be perfect for a night hike where you don't want to light up the entire forest as you go. I noted that the light beam was able to travel more than 100 yards while still providing adequate light in total darkness. While the intensity of the light is not adjustable, there is a wheel that allows you to adjust the headband size for total comfort, and the light fixture can be adjusted to point directly at the intended target or area. Recommended.
