It just makes life easier
Instead of standing against a wall, this lets you take a measurement from anywhere in the room. You don't have to be center, but you do need to be somewhat level and press the buttons a few times to get a measurement sometimes. It if gives a reading on the first press, it can save a lot of time and extra walking. I use this daily in commercial real estate. From measuring retail spaces, offices, warehouses, buildings, everything. I spent about 2 hours, measuring a new office warehouse complex that is a little over 50,000 sf total to test this out. It is accurate but a little finicky. Again you have to be level, hold still, and be patient. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries. Is it worth it? Absolutely yes in my experience. Sometimes I walk into warehouses where I can't use a traditional laser measure pressed against a wall, because there are cabinets, shelving, or things against the wall that I can't reach over or through. With this tool, I just walk in, stand anywhere and get an accurate measurement in seconds. No reaching over cabinets, through shelves. No more standing close to walls or corners covered in spider webs! PRICELESS. Works in total darkness. Covers ever distance I've measured so far, with absolute accuracy. Tested it on a 325' long metal warehouse interior. Took about 3-4 seconds to get a reading, and another just to be sure. Took us over 15 minutes to measure with a wheel measure tool for a 'guesstimate'

This one accurate and actually works!
Tested three or four of these and kept this one! Laser had some difficulty with shiny tile reflecting the beam elsewhere hence the blue tape for the tests. Results in 1/16 accuracy on single and 1/8 on double end measure. Worked well in daylight tests.; if you can't see the dot sometimes it can. If measurements appear off, check the mode. Easy to operate with the big screen, straight forward interface. Beyond the linear modes, I had had some mixed results, likely from poor technique and use of the device. It will take practice to dial those in. I use this frequently and recommend it. Make sure you run tests occasionally, especially if you drop it.

A very good tool at a reasonable price.
It is a great tool. The two sided lasers allows you to easily measure a room. It is easy to use. It is rechargeable and it works. My issue is it does not work as well in the exterior, especially in bright sunlight. I love the inclination metering it is great for getting the inclination or rams.

Saved me a lot of money and frustration
I am terrible at measuring stuff. I always do the measure twice cut once then go back to Home Depot to get another piece cause I screwed up. My wife asked me to do built in bookshelves in our office and wanted to avoid that problem so I got this. It helped a lot and there was minimal swearing for once on a DIY project.

Great in tight spaces
This is a great tool for contractors, adjusters or anyone who needs to measure spaces quickly. I like the fact that it can measure from both sides! You can get a measurement from the middle of the room which is very nice in hard to move spaces.

Accuracy and solid
Highly impressed with accuracy and i even washed this in my clothes by accident, had to dry for about a week but works just as good as the first day, no issues!!

Nice toy for close to 100 bucks!
1. This green laser device came nicely packaged, has a decently firm soft-shell carrying case, and is a Nice looking device that has a good feel and grip with the plastic/rubber device case. 2. Magnet on back is at bottom end of device therefore can not use as a level (or for determining a fixed angle) attached to metal surface... Device simply tilts the top end downward. It needs to have a strong magnet at both ends to support its own weight and remain in a fixed position. 3. Screen display does good job rotating as needed or can be set in a fixed position. 4. SCREEN IS INVISIBLE outdoors in strong daylight conditions...so much for measuring landscape positions, tree height, fence distances, etc. 5. Laser dot is clear and easy to "find" when used indoors. It is IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND outdoors in moderate sunlight conditions at over ~15’ away. 6. Outdoors use even at 10' - 14' away produces CONSTANT "OUT OF MEASURE RANGE" ERRORS ..... so much for 60 meter one-way range! 7. LASER DOT RAPIDLY DIMENISHES IN SIZE to point it is barely visible outdoors at ~20’ outdoors (if you can find it at all) and TOTALLY INVISIBLE outdoors over ~20'. One can not use their dandy little business-card-size reflective target when measuring at any realistic height and certainly not attempting to measure tree, building, or other structure height outdoors. > What Value Is There in purchasing a device advertising outdoor use and one-way distances of 60m (>190') when one can not see the laser dot or the screen in outdoor conditions? **If you intend to use the device ONLY in limited indoor lighting conditions, it may be worthwhile though there are plenty of these types of devices for close to $30....albeit they may be using red lasers (less visible) and not be rechargeable. I returned the product and promptly received a full refund as I need an outdoor, bright sunlight-usable REAL tool....not a toy!

The display looks exactly like the product images: crisp, clean, and super easy to read. The fonts are sharp and well-lit, making it a breeze to check measurements even in dim lighting. No squinting, no second-guessing. As for usability, it couldn't be any more user friendly. I didn’t need to read the manual to get started, just point, click, and measure. The dual laser system is very convenient for measuring both ends of a space at the same time, and the rechargeable battery lasts impressively long between charges. If you’ve ever second-guessed your tape measure like I used to, this tool makes it way easier. It's accurate, simple, and kind of fun to use.

Amazing speed, fast, button responsive, I used many series of Leica disto laser, p2p expensive 2k one... This one has fantastic speed and changing from 2 point laser to one point is a breeze... Love it, with magnet, tripod screw , small, light weight, rubber grip well, green dot (really bright) absolutely no regret!!! Now I just need to see how long it last.

Very accurate and a plethora of functions, saves a lot time compared to a measuring tape.

I’m in love with this laser. I’m in a line of work where I use these types of tools a lot. I usually have a measuring tape, a laser and a torpedo level in my vest when I am checking things on site, this covers most of my bases. I love that it can shoot sin hypotenuse, sometimes checking the height of something, say a light pole can be a challenge as there is no upper horizontal surface to target. With this laser I can just plant the base on the ground from wherever and shoot the top of the pole and it calculates the height with surprisingly good accuracy! I only have one issue with this laser, I wish it would just stay where I left it! Let me explain… Every other laser I have used will power on in whatever unit you were using when you last shut down. This laser always turns on in decimal feet which I don’t need, and I’m pretty sure no one uses for that matter. So every time I turn this on I have to cycle through the units back to feet inch fractional. I minor inconvenience at face value but the units button is hold to change and the fractional imperial is the last one on the list so it takes a while, twice as long if you miss it on the first round🤦♂️. The only two units I (or anyone in Ontario) use are imperial fractional and metric decimal. Overall everything about this laser is great it just frustrates me that it only powers up in a unit that I will never use.
