The Book of Human Emotions (Wellcome Collection)

This book is not just a list of emotions. It helps you to recognize your own emotions as you go through explanations of how people have experienced emotions in different geographies and times. This book helped me to see that working of my unconcious-self is structured on the basis of emotions.

A great read, and I loved learning about emotions that I have had and didn't know they had a name for it. I now understand why I have been drawn to the French way of life, since I related to many of the French emotions like depaysement and brabant. Look them up. It's a refreshing read about emotions from a historians point of view instead of a philosopher or psychologist.

A perfect gift and a perfect read. Wonderful histories and definitions.
