One of the two batteries was defective right off the bat, the directions for proper usage were vague.

I like the timer feature as well as the different frequencies of light it offers

This is a decent infrared therapy flashlight, but I don't love it. It may have too many different light output features for my needs. I don't really need the blue light modes. I have to keep looking at the instructions. The on-off push button cycles through modes with different combinations of lights, and pulsing, and includes two different modes with just the infrared lights, making it easy to think the light is off and possibly looks straight into it. Not realizing that you have infrared light shining straight into your eyes. You'll need to keep the instruction manual around to remember what all the light modes are. There's no display to tell you. Additionally, it's not directly rechargeable. Instead of just being able to plug a USB charging cable into the flashlight, you have to take the battery out, and put it into a separate charging module. For some people that might be more convenient because they can put a charged battery in and swap out the discharged one, and it could increase the lifespan of the device because you're not stuck throwing it away when the rechargeable battery inside goes bad. If I really liked it and wanted it to last forever, I would probably consider the removable batteries a plus. But since I don't really like the design that much, and it's bulkier than it needs to be, I don't really want to have an extra charger around that I can lose. It's inconvenient for me. I think this light could work for you if you need it for light therapy. I find it a bit cumbersome. It would not be my first choice, however, if you can get this at a much lower price than another model, it might be worth it.
