I ordered this product to see if it would help with my 12 year old pom. He has had dry itchy skin problems for years, on and off. As the scratching gets more intense, I end up taking him to my vet who has no idea what causes it. She treats him with antibiotics. In severe flares, he gets a shot of cortisone. This method only treats the symptoms, and has a temporary effect. Now my dog has gone deaf, I believe that this was caused by the cortisone. This time, I decided to research and get some answers that might actually help without harming him. I ordered this product and while I was waiting for it, ( I live in central america) I began giving him two TEASPOONS of raw honey a day and within 2 days I noticed that the itching was getting less. I also bathed him with good old Head and shoulders shampoo. I also stopped giving all dry and commercial foods, he eats home cooked chicken gizzards and sweet potatoes and other varied meat options. I try to give him a little of everything, excluding the livers, he loves them but way too many toxins in them. so No More Liver for him. I received this classic formula yesterday, I was so excited to start him on it, and I gave him 2 capsules the same day. The itching almost stopped entirely, for the whole day and night. This morning he itched just a little, I again gave him 2 more capsules with his breakfast. Again, he has stopped the scratching, I am very optimistic at this point. It is hard to believe, I didn't expect to see such a quick response, but here he is sleeping soundly, without the look of distress on his poor little mug. I have not given him anymore honey or other itch inhibitors, just to be sure that it is the transfer factor working with nothing else. I am so hopeful that this will be the happy ending to a otherwise sad story, I know of people who have had the pet destroyed, due to skin problems. It is devastating to watch your beloved pet suffer while you run out of solutions, using medicines that are causing more damage. I believe that Nature has most of the answers, if we only know where to look This product is worth trying, if you love your animals. Your results may be as good as mine. I want to add that his skin condition has never gone away without treatment of antibiotics. I've tried adding coconut oil and vitamin e, oatmeal baths, hypoallergenic foods and nothing has been effective. This has been an losing battle so far. Now I have hope with the fantastic results that I am already seeing. I have no affiliation with this product in any way, and I certainly have not been paid for this review.
