My HP 840G7 LOOKS BETTER THAN NEW
Good Job Dynamic IT Hardware sent me a HP 840G7 11 pro 512 hd laptop Computer that to me look better better than new. I was so happy with it I bought a second one within 2 days after I received the first one. I can not find a signal mark on them and the black Friday price was great @ 239.00 So far I know they turn on and batteries seem strong. Hope they last awhile.

Very decent, would recommend just be aware of the battery health might not be as advertised
This computer was a gift, I made sure everything was in working condition. I only had two issues which I think it is pretty good. The first one was an update that gave a a fatal error screen, but I guess that could be windows really. The biggest problem I had was that the battery health was at 71% and not the minimum of 80% as advertised. But that is the only reason I did not gave 5 stars. Minor detail the finger print reader for some reason would not allow me to set up along with the user.

Not "Excellent"
[Note: I have returned the laptop.] [Also, I ordered a non-touch screen version but received a touch screen version.] There were a few serious problems with my laptop. The most serious: The CPU's max permitted temperature is 100°C, but when the laptop hit moderately heavy loads (like starting up a VM) the temp went ABOVE 100°C, with the highest temp hitting 108°C. This is not supposed to be possible. When a CPU temp goes above its permitted value, the device is supposed to shutdown as a safety measure. This means that there is a serious problem with the CPU or the firmware. Updating the firmware did not effect this problem. The touchpad has weird bugs. Sometimes it stops responding, other times it becomes hyper-sensitive and flies across the screen like lightning. The laptop often shutdowns right after booting and restarts up to 3 times before finally letting me boot into Windows or use any of the FN options. The laptop was marked as "Excellent". It does *look* that way before turning it on and getting stuck in a boot loop and then having it overheat. I think "Poor" is better because of the compromises that need to be made to get this working as a daily driver (anchoring it to a cooling pad and using a mouse).

You get exactly what you pay for - no more, no less
This is a used machine, and it performs and acts like a used machine. I got exactly what I paid for, trying to save some money for school. The webcam has somehow loosened itself within the screen housing, and now tends to slide out of place, starting one day after the return window closed. This can be fixed by gently banging the side of the laptop on the desk until the camera drops into place. The left mouse button embedded in the corner of the trackpad works intermittently at best. Battery life is adequate. Screen quality is good, and the keyboard is responsive. Processing speed is adequate.
