This is not a smart plug at all. No application can connect
I spent at least 3 hours (I'm not even kidding) to connect 2 plugs out of the 4 that are included with the Meross application and HomeKit. Sometimes I managed to connect to HomeKit and others only on Meross... If I didn't have to go on vacation I would return this product along with a power strip that I purchased to cover my needs. If you want to improve your house and leverage on "smart plugs" this is not the product for you. If you want to spend money just to have a plug on a wall plug then by all means! Feel free to purchase this product. It feels like the developers have focused more on adding useless features on the application rather than adding value to the actual product. And when I say useless features I mean a forum that has news about meross (?!?!?!) and a shop (!?!?!?!). In addition you get coins for different kind of interactions with the application... This is the perfect example on the end-user being a product rather than the client. Completely useless and not user friendly.

Does what it promises to do.
Simply does what it is supposed to. Easy integration into Home Kit via QR code. Fast reaction when switching through HomeKit lights on and off.

We have a complex system of LED lights in our kitchen that are powered via transformers in the garage. I've been looking at ways of putting a light switch into the kitchen without wrecking everything such as plaster and so on. It then occurred to me to consider wirelessly controlled sockets (as in to replace the wall ones), when I stumbled across these babies. At the price point, for four of them, I figured, it's a purchase or a return. So I placed my order and behold, next day delivery and the delight of opening the box. Inside, four plug/sockets. So you plug the device into a socket and the item into this device's socket. Setting up was actually a breeze. They say that you need your phone on 2.4GHz Wifi and not 5GHz. I thought "Brilliant, so now I have to go and turn of 5GHz on all of my WiFi boxes. Then a thought occurred to me - move the phone away from the nearest box until it can only receive 2.4Ghz WiFi. This worked. If you can get away from your WiFi just enough to drop to 2.4GHz, and keep a line of sight on the plug then you can see that it has connected because the Green/Orange constant flash, changes to a green constant. At this point, you can return to the device to complete set up. This little process will save you a lot of messing about with settings and a lot of time. Once done, you can name the device either in the - oh, I forgot, you have to download the Meross app to start with - so once you have connected to the device, you can then name it in Meroos and then use the Home app to either operate, group, rename or what ever. All very easy to be fair. So that was the kitchen lights sorted and I had two more spare. So now two lights in our conservatory have one shared (via a small extension cable and the water feature is the garden is now set to start at dawn, end at dusk, with the option to override if required. I will be buying more of these to operate our other lights in and around the home, as well as hopefully other items. At the moment (and as of 15th March 2021), they have worked well and can be operated from within the house or out and about if you have a decent web connection when out and about. As for how this works with the other two main voice command options, Amazon's Alexa and Googles what ever that thing is, I cannot comment as I don't have any of those products. I imagine the experience is just as good. Currently highly recommended if automation is your thing.

I’ve been after some affordable HomeKit plugs and these are perfect! SETUP was super simple: -Plug in to power -Wait for flashing lights -Scan HomeKit code - minute later it’s integrated into existing Home. - various comments on 2.4GHz network for me this wasn’t an issue even though I have a 5GHz mesh network. -Plug in accessory and control as you need! APP - Using the plug was straight forward and I’ve played around with both Home app and Meross’ own app. Very simple to operating one press simply turns it on/off. The plug also has a button on it which you can press if you’re close by! AUTOMATIONS - Once I’d got the plugs installed I then wanted to set up some automations to make full use of them. I chose to set up automations for tuning the hallway light on at a set time in the morning and then 30 min before sunset in the evening for 4 hours. COMMENTS - Overall value for money and product delivery was spot on and these will be perfect for my Christmas tree and Christmas lights! Overall very happy with the product and would thoroughly recommend.

Good product. Good integration with HomeKit. The one issue I see with it is that the plugs are too fat! Causes a problem when you have inlets next to each other as it renders any next to it useless. You can fit any other plugs in.

Work well with Apple HomeKit to start off, Meross software/ firmware update when initially installed, however, for some reason they stop communicating with the Apple HomeKit/Siri quite often and you have to delete them and re-install each one which is a pain, the Meross app works very well, has good automation routines and has never caused any issues so I think the coms issue is down to Apple/Siri as even their own speakers continually loose communication and need reset.

Crikey, didn't think I would write a bad review for a product with so many 5 stars! We probably have 100+ smart devices in our house, garage door, lights, buttons, switches, hubs, motion sensors, contact sensors, power outlets, water sensors, TVs, dimmer modules, sound systems; all have been ok to set up, (in varying degrees), even the ones that required custom device handlers... After an hour we managed to get one of the four sockets to appear in the Meross app, (this app is also poor when compared to "other" apps) and we are defeated by the over zealous Apple Homekit ambitions for this product. Integration with Smartthings is only for select special people, (even though it says it is compatible on the box). This device, well, unfortunately it's being returned as we cannot get it to work...
