MATT PAINT FOR WOOD and METAL BLACK 0.25L

Happy with this paint. Great coverage a little gose a long way. Mine has dryed matt and looks lovely but one item i did was matt but with a slight shine. So i would say depends on the serface your painting to the outcome you get. Me personally am very happy with the product and got the desired effect. Would highly reccomend.

Great paint but. Strong fumes lovely on doors when finished the paint is well worth the money make sure you stir it beforehand to get the consistency great size tin

I bought this paint for my stairs and ended up using it to revamp an old drawer unit as well. It is thick and covers great, one coat did the job in most areas. Its VERY glossy when it first goes on, and it does take ages to be even touch dry, but once it dries it has a very smooth matt finish, I don't understand why for other people it stayed glossy.. maybe they didn't stir it properly or posted the review too soon, it does take many hours for it to turn matt. My only issue is the really strong smell as I have asthma so I struggled a bit with it and had to open all the windows, which didn't help the drying time. Would I buy it again? Absolutely, I am going around the house looking for more things to paint black now as I am in love with the results. A little goes a very long way so it is very good value for money too. Only giving 4 stars because the drying time is excessive compared to the many other paints I have ever used, and the smell is so strong, but if you want a really beautiful, expensive looking finish, and have the time and patience, this paint is perfect.

I was a little sceptical about using this paint. I was expecting it to turn out a gloss finish after reading the reviews. I can hand on heart say it really does dry Matt if you give it long enough to fully dry !! As it dries it still looks really glossy but after 24 hours it is Matt. The paint is quite thick when it goes on, but the coverage is excellent. I have painted my fire surround and some shelving units and they look great. I purchased it to paint all my interior doors but thought I’d start small first just to test it. I will definitely buy more for future projects. You must fully mix the paint before using so you get the desired Matt finish. Please be aware this is not water based so you will need some sort of solvent to wash your brushes. I used turpentine for my brushes but acetone works too for any small spots.

This paint takes a long time to dry, but the finish is awesome. Don't be put off by the shiny appearance while it is drying. It will become matt. I used it to paint a fire surround and it did a great job. I have bought more for woodwork. Has an old school paint smell. I like that but some might not.

Wow, now I’ve had a hate hate relationship with my council house. Mainly the absolute nightmare of trying to decorate and things falling apart or leaking! This bring me to dealing with the many many layers of gloss and the fact it was yellow (white oil based gloss). I’ve tried different things and this is defo a MATT finish for varnish. The sun was shining in the brightest room in my house so I took a picture there. There is a soft sheen like finish but it’s Matt at the same time. I love this stuff!!!! I’m decorating the whole flipping house and this stuff is gonna be the main attraction. Okay-size. Yes, the tins are small but it does state the size so don’t be surprised. Be surprised by how far it goes! I’ve done loads already. I prefer brush as foam roller isn’t the best if you need it to go further. The finish with even a brush is AMAZEBALLS!!!!! I’ve only come back on here to order more as I have one tin left and I WANT MORE. Before you all buy it and there’s none left for me haha. I’m by no means a professional and just a DIY ENTHUSIAST whom can’t find my ‘style’ in the shops. Yes, this means my lad doesn’t understand what half of what I’ve got is for haha. So there you have it- A-M-A-Zing. 5* for durability, look, consistency and all that jazz. Enjoy my fellow DIYers. ✌️☮️

I bought this paint for my beautiful small chest of drawers in the hallway, which got damaged on the top by a reed diffuser! I started painting this on and was mortified to see gloss paint. I was furious because the tin definitely said Matt. I had started, so kept going. I read the reviews afterwards and people were saying it goes on glossy but dries matt...... 25hrs later, it is still not dry, very tacky to touch, and still bloody glossy. I am so upset about this. I now have to strip and sand the whole unit and repaint it with a decent paint! (I did stir it before using it). Not happy at all.
