Strong stout little shock, good directions, lowers tailgate down nice steady and slow, comes with red lock tight, good tools like a 10mm angle socket wrench, torx angle wrench, stubby screwdriver that well made and are a huge bonus. The build quality is great, the brackets fit perfectly and I am super satisfied. There was a little oil leakage on the box but that’s because it was flown in and probablly leaked at altitude. It really does work great! This is the most affordable mprovement

Easy to install.All the tools you need are in the package. Works Great. I bought two and installed them on both sides of my tailgate . I have a heavy tailgate and these make it lower slowly.

Easy to install and one of the only ones that come in white to match my truck. Been on for a couple months now and works as it should. Love that the tailgate eases itself down.

Overall, the product works well, but the instructions lackluster. If you buy this for your pick up truck, install it on the opposite side you would remove the tailgate. Otherwise, the tailgate does not fully come down and gets hung up and could cause damage. This should have been stated in the instructions so it’s done right the first time.

Excellent product easy installation for a Ford F-150 2018 definitely helps with lifting the tailgate with one hand even my grandson who is 7 years old can lift the tailgate and lower it without it slamming

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Would not recommend to anybody, had this for abt 2 weeks before I opened my tailgate and it slammed open and snapped the bottom bracket, just spend the extra bit on a Rough Country one

Had to remove the metal tie down bracket on the tailgate on my 2025 F150 for the tailgate to close. Worked good after that.
