My Book of Bible Stories by Watchtower Bible and Tract Society (1978-05-03)

Nephew loves reading it.

I always thought my mother bought us this Bible. I later found out the Jehovah Witnesses left this Bible! I laughed so hard when I found out because I had been telling the story wrong! I’m not a Jehovah Witness, but this Bible helped me have a love for God at such a young age. My mother didn’t carry us to church. She was a drug dealer when we were younger, and she sold beer. We lived in the projects called Bowen Homes in Atlanta. However, she did take time to teach us to pray. Sometimes she would let the Jehovah Witnesses come into our apartment when they caught her right! Anyway, today I am a minister of the gospel. My mother never graduated high school. God led me back to school after I answered my call into the ministry! I graduated Spelman College and Emory Candler School of Theology with a Master of Divinity. I am working on my Doctorate in Ministry at Jakes Divinity School powered by George Fox, but right at the end I had financial difficulties. So my dissertation is finished, but I am waiting on God to bless me financially to pay my school off. My youngest son has also answered his call into the ministry. He is currently attending Morehouse. What am I saying? All things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose. God will use anyone to accomplish His mission. I make short films( I have longer films but God told me to do short films to show my work). My channel on YouTube is SHAYFILMS! I came from the hood, so I write gritty Christian movies! It is what I am called to do! Anyway, God used Jehovah Witnesses to stir up my love for His word, and I am grateful to them! Today, I read this Bible with my grandchildren! I was so happy to find one!

Very educative and interesting! My daughters loves the bible stories.

There are 2 reasons I bought this book. 1. I was given this book as a child and loved it so I wanted my kids to have it. 2. It is one of the few childrens bible books where I could find the story of Job. I looked and looked in many childrens books and when I couldn't find one like the one I had I looked here for a copy of my old one. SO here it is. Oddly enough, after I bought it some one gave my kids a newer version of this same book. I still like this one better though because it has a hard cover and the newer version doesn't.

i loved this book i am not a jehovah witness but i believe in christ and i study and read the bible to my children as well as teach adults absent minded to stories in the regular bible with this book it simplifies and is very information and good to use as a beginer learner or teacher. my children love story time with this book the photos are also greatly illustrated my book of bible stories i also use for the older kids to understand the org text in the bible it makes learning fun and easy shipping was fast my book was in good condition and i will be ordering more for others soon i have folks in other state wanting to join my studies reading on oovoo :)

I remember having this book when I was younger and was extremely happy I was able to find it on Amazon. I’ve read it to my children multiple times and they love it.

My youngest daughter had a little boy last year. One afternoon got a call from her asking me where she could find her my golden book of bible stories, wow I thought, I couldn't believe she still remembered the books name after all these years. She wanted to buy one like she had growing up that I used to read to her from. I looked but couldn't find it right away , then I found a few but they were so expensive, I didn't know why??? Then I found this book here at amazon it was used but in good condition, so I bought it. She was so happy with it, and that made me happy too! Stories are told so a child can understand them with no violence, and unaltered. A wonderful book at a great price!

I read this book with my grandma and my aunt when I was a child. I used to love it so much. I am glad I can read it again with my nephew now. It is very readable and understandable for children. The book is used but the quality is very good.
