I’ve really only ever been a tablet guy since the original iPad came out 2010, however, you still need to have a base computer due to the realities of work. In my case, I am a medical doctor and a research scientist and in order to do my job, I need a decent Windows laptop that allows me to run scientific and analytical software (used to have a Mac but having to use Parallels to do this was just a total faff). I’ve never been into spending a whole lot on laptops so when I came across this deal during the 2023 UK Black Friday week, I couldn’t resist. The 16 GB of RAM allows for quite speedy multitasking (as well as gaming) and the 512GB SSD offers more than enough storage. Set up was a breeze and I was able to easily link all of my Microsoft office and Xbox/Steam accounts to the PC. Lenovo is one of the best brands out there; don’t settle for generic. You know you’re getting a reliable machine. Battery is fine. The only issue as others have pointed out is that the keyboard IS NOT backlit as is in the photos but that wasn’t a selling point for me to start with. Very happy all told.

First of all, yes the keyboard doesn't light up. Second of all I don't care. This machine is a beast for the money. It has a decent i5, 16gb of DDR5 Ram and useable 420gb of storage. This machine is perfect for word processing, spreadsheets and presentation work. Browsing the Web is effortless and watching Netflix is perfectly acceptable. Is the screen stunning, bursting with colours like a £2000 OLED laptop? Obviously not. Is it completely usable...100% I tested cloud gaming with the Xbox app and with a decent Internet connection it ran extremely well. Sound isn't great but I always use headphones. It has a 3.5mm jack and also runs Bluetooth so no problems there. My only real gripes were the Lenovo software apps and a few other unwanted programs. Easy enough to uninstall. Additionally the laptop does run a little loud averaging 50db when performing updates and other heavy load bearing tasks. I'd say for £390 this is a sensational laptop. Also.... Still don't care about the keyboard lighting up.

Overall great laptop, amazing value. Great for work and casual gaming. Powerful CPU and RAM setup. Okish GPU. More than decent for watching YouTube, Netflix, coding, word processing etc Battery 5 to 2 hours depending on workload. 47wh. Gaming CS2 1080p low settings - 30 to 60 fps, 45 avg. I was quite surprised how powerful an integrated GPU have become. Check out YouTube for games/performances. Can support 2 other monitors, via HDMI and USB C. Lovely keyboard to type on. Screen is TN 60hz, and low contrast. Fine for indoor use, don't expect miracles. Webcam is 1080p. Speakers aren't that great, but you really should get a Bluetooth speaker/headphones if you care about music. Hope this helps.

Always used Hp or Acer. Bought this due to the best combo of price and parameters. Use laptop mainly for browsing, watching online content. Happy so far. Love keybord. Find it very easy to type on this laptop. The only downside, it is fairly quiet. Much quieter then my previous HP was.

Bought this laptop on black Fridays sales, was very glad I did. Stacked specs, aesthetically pleasing laptop body, and it works as expected. I would highly recommend this model for anyone looking for a powerhouse of a computer at a bargain prices. Grab before they are gone, which is inevitable😁
