Exactly as described, works great! Don't short yourself on a theater system with cheap or outdated HDMI cables. Monster cables are the way to go.

For a low cost HDMI it does an outstanding job. I needed to run a longer cable to a small 4k Samsung TV to fit my needs. I had a shorter Cardas cable which was not cheap but has great quality. I was very surprised this cable was pretty much just as good with high quality shot shows/sports. For normal recorded shows you could not hear or see a difference between the Cardas cable which cost a lot more and this Monster cable. I highly recommend it!

I bought the two-pack of 2 foot cables for about $27 at the time of this writing. They're a DEFINITE IMPROVEMENT over the stock ones which came with my Nvidia Shield and high-end ($750) Vizio sound bar. I'd heard short cables "could" effect the timing signal inherent in HDMI 2.1 cable construction. No such issues here, I can detect. The picture quality was similar to my old cables BUT with a BIG improvement in sound quality. Which was a main focus for me with the new sound bar. Using the old Vizio included, HDMI cable just didn't cut it at all which I found rather highly surprising. I'd opted to using Optical output instead, for the sound quality I desired. These new 2 foot Monster Cables did finally surpass the much older Toslink Optical output in fine quality sound. The difference is pronounced. And these are my very first HDMI cables which have lived up to the promise of, "superior HDMI 5.1 surround sound quality". I'd used Monster cables for "Component" type inputs in many years past with great results, but never encountered any other single HDMI cable which lived up to the promise of superior HDMI sound. These finally pleased my ears enough to permanently use them. Monster still makes quality cables in spite of intense market competition from cheaper, generally, Chinese cables which so many seem to rave about. But those don't always cut it! Higher quality cables are well worthwhile if you watch a lot of content over many years. These 2' Monster ones are in fact, a good buy! They got this review ONLY because they earned it.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I have always used the Monster cables. I was a little concerned about these being the real thing as they were only packaged in plastic. They are performing well so far on my new Sony and LG TV's.

A solid, well-built 6-ft. cable. I needed a longer cable to replace an expensive 1-meter AudioQuest 4K one. Since I'm using this to connect a UHD Blu-ray player to a 3D/4K television, I figured this was a good alternative. It was. Excellent picture and sound. Connectors provide a tight fit. You could pay a lot less or you could pay a lot more. Monster isn't what it once was, but it's probably best for the money.

I had an HDMI cable failure that took out 2 existing cables. One of them was a 10' Belkin cable. Not cheap, but not high quality. I'm hoping that these Monster cables will provide service for at least a couple of years. Happy with them thus far. I have a mix of older technology and newer that needs to play nice with each other. Regardless of age, I try to buy high quality components. I've had good luck with top-of-the-line products. Cheap stuff, you get what you pay for. An old saying, but so true.

Cable works even better than expected. The improvement of picture quality and speed was absolutely noticeable. Couldn’t be happier. Will definitely buy again.
