There are holes and sections cut out of the pages. Photos attached to this review. I laid out a few of the problematic pages over my kitchen table so you could see the holes more clearly. When I saw this Vanity Fair book of Oscar night photos on sale for $4.39 (full retail price was $80.00), I bought it and thought I'd scored an amazing deal. Turns out, I was the one who got duped. Initially, I was excited. The photos were gorgeous, the print quality was great, the paper quality was good, etc. Then I saw pages that had cutouts. Angelica Huston's face was missing. Jake Gyllenhaal's eyes were cut out. Gary Oldman's picture had a section removed. There were more, but I think those are enough photo examples. It seemed to me that someone previously bought this book and deliberately made the cuts. Then returned the book to Amazon, who just resold it as new, but at a huge discount. Most of the pages were okay, but the vandalized pages left me heartbroken. Stay away from buying this book if it's still displaying a rock-bottom price. It's for good reason. I just wish the problems with the book had been disclosed so I could have made an informed decision. If you get an intact copy of this book, it's great. I have nothing but respect for Mark Seliger's work and the publishing company assembled a fine book. I just wish Amazon had been honest about why the price was so low. Also you should know that this is primarily a photo collection, not a photography tutorial. You won't get stories, tips and tricks on how Mark Seliger shoots pictures. If you want behind-the-scenes details of celebrity portraits, these books look more like that: "Gregory Heisler: 50 Portraits: Stories and Techniques from a Photographer's Photographer" by Gregory Heisler "Greg Williams Photo Breakdowns: The Stories Behind 100 Portraits" by Greg Williams I may check them out next. Hope this helps someone avoid the bad experience I had.
