Excellent mouthpiece. Its has a bright sound that is at the same time full bodied and warm. Very easy to blow and projects extremely well. I highly recommend for any contemporary sax players for genres such as gospel, R&B , funk, smooth jazz.

What a difference! I'm a music teacher who picked up the sax a few months ago. My sax came with the Yamaha 4c. It's great! Someone told me to try the Selmer C*. It's very similar to the 4C. Both are pretty mellow and easy to get a decent sound from. However, I had to push pretty hard on both mouth pieces. I kept getting the sensation of holding my breath. Like I couldn't get enough air through. The solution was to take shallow breaths and breathe more frequently. Reviews of mouthpieces refer to the term "free blowing". I thought maybe this is what I was looking for. I gave the Super Jet a try. Holy smokes. This mouthpiece SOUND and PLAYS very differently. The air will leave you. For me, this makes it so much better. No more sensation of having held my breath. I can play longer passages much more easily. And the tone! It sounds like a jazz sax. Pitch control is also much easier. The downsides. It takes more control with your embouchure. For the first few practice sessions, I was squeaking on a few note. But after a few hours of practice this was under control. Lastly, it comes with probably the cheapest ligiture I've ever seen but it's designed to fit the Super Jet. My Rovner ligiture is too big to fit. In short, this is an excellent purchase. I'm super happy with it.
