I was intimidated to put this together myself when I saw all the pieces but it was not at all difficult. All the pieces have a little sticker with a letter on it to make it easier to assemble. I kept getting interrupted so I am not sure how long it actually took me. The directions are easy to understand but I also watched the video with the person wearing white gloves and that was the best one to see what they were doing. It is worth the money as I have bought other ones that are cheaply made-this one feels much more durable and doesn't cost much more than those cheap-made ones. There is a lot of storage space underneath. Having those clips to keep the mattress in place is the best invention! I have not put a mattress on it yet but I am sure it will be very sturdy and comfortable because there are several slats!

We were looking for a 16" tall California King frame to replace a 35 year old water bed base. We wanted a platform style frame so making the bed would be easier, and also to have space under the bed for storage of off-season clothing and such. We read many reviews for various products before we chose this one. Assembly was very straightforward, but as I believe others have mentioned, it will go together much easier if you have two people. If you're like me and have a drawer with lots of hex keys, go through that and find one that matches so you can have two people tightening the screws once the frame is assembled. And you'll want a rubber mallet or a block of wood and a hammer to tap the cross pieces into place, because they fit very snugly into the slots.The frame is solid, but be forewarned that the mattress slides pretty easily on this thing. This is a common comment in reviews for platform frames in general, and many of them (including this one) come with snap-on pieces to help keep the mattress in place, but if you want to use a skirt to hide the frame (and everything you're storing under the bed), you can't use those clips (and many folks have said they break or pop off too easily anyway). Our solution has been to just try to be careful when climbing into bed ... we're both taller than average, so it's not a big deal, but shorter folks may find it more difficult. I was planning to build a new storage platform bed, but that was going to be a lot of work, more expensive, and a lot heavier, so I'm pleased with this purchase.

Needed a sturdy bed because the grandkids love to jump in bed with me and grandpa and talk at night can have up to 5 people at a time ,this is soon sturdy love it, and absolutely no squeaking either!!!

Easy to put together and sturdy. Re check the bolts for tightness if you moment after you build it. Plastic mattress holders pop off easily. The height is great for storage underneath. Build quality:Liked the weight capacity.

It fit my mattress perfectly, not too big, not too small. It's sturdy, holds a lot of weight and works very well. I love the look of it and have fun jumping into bed every time I come home now. Overall I think this is an amazing comfy frame for the price. Best part is it has a lot of room for storage under the bed and it does the job pretty well. Was a no brainer for me

I bought this to replace my traditional bed frame. So far, it's been great. Very sturdy, no squeaking, no sagging. I'm impressed with it this far and would recommend it.
