Does the job. Why pay more?
Neighbors just spent ~2-3K on an installed whole House Unit. We've got decent City water so I don't mind taking showers or washing cloths/dishes with it. Just don't want to drink it. This little unit gives me a gallon of sweet pure/contaminate free water (in ~3-4 hours), with little fuss, guaranteed, for a fraction of expensive Systems they'll try and sell you. Get you one. You won't regret it.

Water tastes good.
So far it's working well. Time to distill is accurate. Fan is not super loud, but not quiet either. I put it in another room and crack the door as it heats up the room quite a bit. I'm not using the plastic collection container as my main goal is to reduce micro plastics. I use a glass carafe to collect the distilled water. The tip of this machine has a compartment to insert a small charcoal filter packet. I don't do this and the water still tastes fine. There was a slight metal taste during the first 3 runs, but it has gone away. I'm sure there was a little metal residue in the coil that needed to be washed out. The distiller seems well built and made to last. The water tastes like distilled water from the store, but without any plastic jug flavor. In my opinion, the glass carafe replacement for this device could be cheaper. I haven't cleaned it yet because it doesn't get very dirty. I leave a little water left over in the main tank so I can rinse it out easily. It has an auto off switch once the tank is empty. The price for this device was fair.

VEVOR is a quality brand! A+ distiller
My first one i purchased was in 2023, and it has overly exceeded my expectations and still working great (white one on the right). Even as you can see the sediment buildup inside which i rarely clean out, water comes out perfect. The black one i bought as a backup a year later because I've been so used to nothing lasting i wanted to have extra on hand. Well orginal is still working great and now use both of them for efficiency. I have saved so much money not buying jugs at the store anymore, I figured within the first 6 months I got my money's worth from the machine. Only thing is make sure you have everything lined up when it's running. Or no cats being jerks moving your water jug slightly to have it spill everywhere instead of into the jug. That is the only issue I've had and highly recommend the VEVOR brand. Actually because of the quality I've purchased other VEVOR products. So hard to find quality brands anymore and VEVOR gets an A+ from me

Works well, but expect noise and heat.
After not using distilled water in out GE Opal ice maker and learning a “HARD” lesson (pun intended) I was excited to find this contraption to distilled water. The short video demonstrates the sound the machine makes. I am thankful to have room/electric in my pantry as I would not want to listen to this baby cry for 4 hours. The picture with dark water is the grossness that was left behind have my first batch. Super disgusting to think we are drinking this. However the last image is the staining that was left after using the provided cleaner. I scrubbed and could not get this to come off. Not sure it matters but it does look burnt on. This is the only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars. Important side note; it did make my pantry quite warm. You will want sufficient ventilation. Otherwise invest in this! So worth it to not ruin your expensive appliances with tap water.

great value, you'll love it.
Love this Distiller and use it almost everyday. Well manufactured and has a metal fan blade for long life. Water tastes so pure, and makes for great morning coffee. Noise level is nor bad at all. Takes about 4 hours to make a gallon. It shuts down automatically when finished even though there is no mention of that feature in the paperwork. Good idea to order a bag of Citric Acid to clean as you will go through the jar that comes with in a few weeks.

Cheap for a Reason – Fails Early, Warranty Support Goes Nowhere
I’ve owned three of these. The first lasted about a year—just outside the 12-month warranty. The second made it only six months before it started shutting off randomly mid-cycle, often before the water even boiled. It now requires constant manual restarts to get through a single gallon. I bought a third, but confidence is low. When I contacted Vevor for warranty support, they asked for video of the problem—then told me to upload it through a system that doesn’t even accept video files. Their own documentation lists only static image formats. The upload link they provide sends you to WeTransfer, which then tells you to email someone. Meanwhile, they suggest contacting Amazon for returns, even though Amazon won’t handle a warranty claim after the return window closes. In short, the product is cheap because it’s not built to last, and the warranty exists mostly on paper. You’re buying a short-lived appliance with the expectation of no meaningful support. If that tradeoff works for you, fine. But know what you’re getting into. Update: After 12 days of trying to get support for my second failed unit, I can confirm the warranty process is a bad-faith stall. I sent photos and uploaded the requested video using their own WeTransfer instructions, then posted the link in the message thread. Instead of reviewing it or addressing the issue, they repeated the same generic instructions and dragged the process out without resolution. Eventually, Amazon had to step in and issue a refund because Vevor refused to honor their own warranty. The product is cheap for a reason—and if it fails, you’re unlikely to get meaningful support.

Easier to use than you might think.
I won't deny I was a little intimidated when I saw the size of this thing and opened it up out of the box with really no idea how to use it but it really took me only about 5 minutes before I had it running and I used it three times in a row in the same day just with a 15 or 20 minute break in between to let the coils cool down the fans have a break. At first I thought I had made a mistake by buying something that was going to occupy so much in my countertop space but then I realized I could use it multiple times in a row and then put it away and store the distilled water for another day and I'm happy with my purchase day one three cycles of 3L which each rendered 3Q which is very little loss, I'm a happy plant dad, and I know my plants will be tickled green to not have to soak up all the chemicals that come from the Dallas water supply and they'll be living longer and healthier than ever. 2 years ago I lost 40 air plants by using city water I won't make that mistake again. 5 out of 5 would recommend. And it's not that big, takes up about as much room as a juicer.

A little common sense would help…
I’ve had this water distiller for almost 10 days now and have already made about 25 gallons of water. Honestly, it’s all common sense, especially if you follow the instructions. After each use, I simply take a microfiber towel, lightly wet it (not too wet), and wipe the bottom to remove any leftover debris. It doesn’t get 100% spotless, and there is a slight burn mark on the bottom, but the instructions clearly say to clean that about once a month using the cleaning solution they provide. So no problem there—just follow the instructions. The water comes out very clean. I use it for both drinking water and my humidifier. A nice bonus is that during the winter, the unit releases some warm air from the top, which helps keep my family room a little warmer. Overall, it’s a good deal. I only had one issue, and it was completely my fault. One time I didn’t put the lid on 100% correctly, and the water leaked out the side—an entire gallon spilled onto my table. That was user error, not the company’s fault. Now I just make sure the lid is on tightly, and there are no problems. This is the first water distiller I’ve ever owned, and if I can use it without issues, anyone can. Thank you for dropping by.
