Best Naturals DGL Chewable 380 mg 180 Tablets (180 Count (Pack of 2))

I have been using DGL to combat acid reflux and have been very pleased with the results. This brand is less expensive than other chewable DGL brands I've tried, but I was a bit hesitant to try them given some of the rather strongly worded reviews complaining about the taste. But, as usual, my pocketbook won the argument, and I got these but was prepared for the worst. I'm happy to say that the taste is not bad. It's not a "yum" type of taste, and I certainly would not buy candy that tasted like this, but as a 3x per day option, I'm fine with the taste. It's sweet but has a more earthy flavor to it than other brands. The taste does not linger and there is no significant aftertaste. The tablets are easy to chew and are not grainy. Although the listing title says it is a 180 count container, the listing body states it is a 250 count bottle. It is in fact a 180 count, as per the product title. The bottle I received in November 2022 has an expiration date of March 2024. It is made in the US, which is a big plus. While there are better tasting DGL chewables, this provides an effective amount of DGL at a much better price per tablet, is made in the US, and has a taste that, while not delightful, is certainly tolerable. Five stars.

Got these for a good price and find them to be a sort of "fix" before getting to bed when craving "sugar", though they are "sugar-free" in a way. I think they do help my stomach significantly but are not my go to when experiencing nausea. I much prefer peppermint oil for that.

This is the second time I ordered this product. The first time, the taste was ok and it worked well. The current bottle is completely different from the same product and brand from a couple months ago. The ingredient list hasn't changed to explain the difference. The smell and flavor is like liquid smoke and made my throat burn. I can't tell the effectiveness since the throat burning makes me not trust taking it again with gastritis. The taste is really bad compared to the first bottle i got.

Works bargains

I don't like giving bad reviews - BUT - like some other customers, I must have gotten a bad bottle. I generally like the taste of licorice but this tasted like it was burnt and caused me distress in my lower esophagus. I quickly ate some bread with water to clear my throat and esophagus. I have used another brand of chewable DGL and was impressed with the help it gave me - and it tasted fine. Unfortunately my local store doesn't carry it anymore so I tried this brand online. I gave it 2 stars instead of one since I think DGL is a good product in general.

These work decently well for my GERD along with other supplements, instead of PPIs, which I've researched and found to be pretty harmful. The only downside is that these taste and smell horrible. They're gluten, sweetener, and artificial flavor free. There are DGL supplements out there that have sweetener, so if you're looking for a better flavor, you can find some, but they're way more expensive. I got used to the flavor after a couple weeks and it doesn't bother me anymore.

After reading the reviews, I expected these to taste horrible but they aren't bad at all! Easy to chew, strange taste but not bad to eat by any means, and the texture is slightly grainy but not bad at all. I have no problem chewing these before every meal, and they have helped my stomach tremendously. Other people complain a lot about the taste and texture but these are totally worth it and easy to take!

I can't say whether they work or not but I really prefer the taste of the other one that I used to take. I guess they are not all made the same. What matters most is whether they work or not, so I'm still hopeful for that. I have suffered from gastritis for many years due to the medications that I'm on. Apple cider vinegar gummy's have helped with some of that, but I also need DGL when I feel the acid start to get riled up in my stomach. It helps protect the stomach from the acid, and keeps my stomach lining healthy. We need our stomach acid to digest food and to break down minerals. I would rather use this than a harmful acid reduced or medication. Another really hopeful thing to take is a homeopathic called NUX VOMICA. Anyone with chronic stomach issues of any type should always keep some on hand. It can work when nothing else does.

I was trying to transition off Pantoprazole (a Stomach Acid inhibitor, also branded Somac) which was being taken for extreme reflux. My system reaction to stopping the Somac, was extreme reflux burning and stomach upset. Taking 2 of these GDL tablets 20 minutes before meals completely stopped the upset stomach and the reflux burning. They really do work!

I'm picky as and honestly they're kinda tasty

The taste is not good at all. I have been using others and they are much much better.
